I'm so proud of my little guy! On Monday, the kids were involved in a 2 hour Miniature Horse camp. Everyone was excited, except Zach. Zach was angry and scared. Josh loves to cook, and is very good at it. He loves to mix things, try different combinations. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. For the last two month's he has really wanted to make pumpkin pie. So on Thanksgiving Day, that's one of the things he was in charge of. Just don't tell him it counted towards schoolwork - Chemistry and Home Economics/Life Skills. :)  (more)

After two months of reading about dogs, researching dogs, consuming every dog related website and book available to her, Kate was positive she wanted a Beagle. Tonight she announed that maybe she needed to rethink that.  WHAT! Apparently after reading repeatedly about how stubborn a beagle can be, she decided to reinvestigate. So now she's reading about the Bichon Frise. I'm floored. Don't get me wrong she still wants a dog, and is still researching her heart out. Right now, at 12:45 am, she's in the other room reading another book on Dog care, from the adult section at the library. (more)

My darling little son, Troubles, has a way with words.  Really, he is such a thoughtful little thing!  Grandpa is visiting today, and Troubles had the courtesy to ask him "how he shaves like that?".  He asked Grandpa several times, but Grandpa didn't understand his question.  Finally, Troubles touched the top of his head and asked again: "How does he shave like that?"! Today was a 'rough' day!  We got a late start and everyone seemed to be going in every other direction.  I was already having a PMS day (Psycho Mama Syndrome) and trying desparately to salvage what I could.  What I really wanted to do, though, was to lock myself in my bedroom and pretend I never heard them scream 'Mooooom.'  There was too much contention between siblings today - one, who has a temper he has yet learned how to control,  another who loves to provoke, and yet another who loves to mock! The Wolves of Willoughby Chase  by Hayley
This book is another Sonlight book, set in England a while ago, though I'm not sure exactly when. It was written by Joan Aiken. The book is about Sylvia and Bonnie, two cousins, who when parents/guardians leave on a holiday find themselves in the middle of a plot to steal Bonnie's father's land and money. It was a pretty good book, but once again, it wasn't superly awesome. The cover looks a bit uninviting, but, you know what they say: "Don't judge a book by it's cover."  (more)
