Bob’s 60^th, Abigail’s 5^th and Obama’s 47^th

Happy Birthday Day birthday buddies.  (Did we even know who Obama was last year?)

Michele sent Bob a card and wrote this….

60 whole years?  Wow, you are young.

Well “relatively” young – compared to some!

Grammie, Aunt Florice and Old Uncle Lloyd,

You’re years from them – so don’t be annoyed.

Grammie lived 3 decades and more

Before Robert Blount ever darkened the door.

And lest your age makes you light-headed and dizzy,

Be glad that Susan doesn’t look like Grandma Lizzie! (yet J)

So what else can I say to make you feel young?

I’m sure to you – happy songs have been sung.

You have more hair than Kevin and he’s 52!

And when Kathy was 30 she had more grays than you do!

Too young to retire, too spry to resign

And to think of your schedule – I’d say you do fine!

Although you feel young now after reading this note,

I’ll remind you of one thing before you might gloat.

No matter how young you are, how happy or sad

You will always be old enough to have been my dad!

The birthday boy had a heavy schedule of farm work to do today.  Crysten was recruited help with the 400 cow herd tonight and tomorrow morning.  After getting home at 8 PM they will turn around and head back at 1 AM tomorrow morning and finish up. 

What do you get the man who has everything?  Food always works.  So, I picked up a large clear lobster roll at the Corner Store in Oakland.  He said it was very good.
