For inquiring minds who want to know, I’m feeling almost normal again. I got out and mowed the lawns yesterday. It felt really good to be outside. Today I drove up to see Marie. She continues to do well, and is always so happy to see me. I wish it could be more often. Crysten is here waiting with us for another Phelps moment in the Olympics. Would we even be watching any of this if it wasn't for him? I don't think so. For years I’ve known that the New England Music Camp did outdoor concerts on Sunday afternoon, but I had never gone. The ladies at Curves finally spurred us into it, so even with the threat of rain (and some drops) Bob, Crysten and I took our lawn chairs and enjoyed a marvelous afternoon.
If you’re reading Jen’s blog you know that Bob spent the night with them Monday night. He had business meetings out there and drove home Thursday. That evening, of course, started what would put me out of circulation for two days. On Wednesday, Jen and Ed celebrated 14 years of marital bliss, ecstasy, heaven, paradise, enjoyment, happiness, delight, pleasure, harmony (from the Thesaurus). Loralei dropped her four oldest off at Foshay’s, then came over and spent the time here until prayer meeting. The Augusta theater shows free kid movies during the summer so Ann loaded up her 15 passenger van with a bunch from church. Crysten came over and had Loralei put highlights in her hair. The last time they did that, Jeremy had a hand in it when Loralei had to be on the phone or something. It showed. This time things look a lot more even. Pray for my sister-in-law Cindy. Bob’s mom lives with her. She’s been through so much with Mother’s health lately and now her younger brother is dying. Emotional times. He knows the Lord, I think, but still… Dan got invited to take a bus tour to the Red Sox game tonight. It’s a ride, food, and the game. Problem is, the game has been rained out. Bummer for them. He’s never been to a game before. Yeah! Caught up again. Feels good. That’s all folks. |
