A Speed Bump Today’s “to-do” list was short. It was going to be a good day to catch up on things I want to get done before camp next week. I woke up with no hint of what was coming. By 10:30 my list was finished and I was on to making lunch so I could have the entire afternoon and evening to do other stuff. While eating lunch, it all changed. Suddenly I was so overcome by fatigue that I couldn’t even clean up the empty dishes. “Just a power nap on the couch,” I thought. “that should do it.” As soon as I lay down, I knew it was going to take more than that. I was soundly asleep before I had time to think about anything else. I woke up around 2:30, but soon realized I wouldn’t be up for long. I’ve been awake since 6 PM but it still feels best to be stretched out on the couch. The ice that I felt in my veins is gone, too. I’m ready for bed, but want to see some of the Olympics, first. Crysten is here watching with us. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a healthier day. |
