Happy Anniversary Day, Loralei and Jeremy

Happy Anniversary Day, Loralei and Jeremy

Another spectacular camp day.  Try not to covet.  It’s not allowed.  That’s what God said.  Wish you were here.  Does that help?

This morning a mini van drove in and a stranger stepped out of the car with the most gorgeous bouquet of roses you’ve ever seen.  They were from Jeremy for his bride of 14 years.

Tonight, after the guys got home from golfing, Carissa ran up to her dad quite excited.  “Dad, someone sent Mama flowers today and he even spells his name just like you!”  Well, that got a roar from everyone as they contemplated how Carissa didn’t make the connection that her dad had sent them.  “He NEVER does things like that,” she retorted trying to justify her logic.

Camp days are divided into three segments.  There’s the morning segment when the men drive off for work early (all but Ed, who’s on a real vacation) and we all spend time in our lounge wear sipping on coffee and eating a leisurely breakfast.

The afternoon segment includes naps for little ones, visitors, swimming, kayaking, reading books, playing games and taking naps for the older ones if we’re so inclined.

The evening segment might include marshmellows around the fire, but it always includes more games.  Tonight there is more coffee to see if they can stay awake for the movie.  Wanna bet that Jen doesn’t make it?
