Happy Birthday Day, Faith

Happy Birthday Day, Faith

If camp is over than why am I so tired?  We decided to do lunch at the Windsor Fair after church today.  I could hardly make it.  I hurt all over and just want to go to bed.  No, I don’t think it was my bugs buggin’ me…

I think it was staying up until 1 AM on Friday night, and making a late night run to the airport to pick up BoBo and Ling (our Colby students) last night.  Thankfully, Crysten drove.  We left around 6:30 and stopped by LL Bean’s where she found a new bathing suit for $6 and we enjoyed an outdoor concert by Lonestar sponsored by the store.  It was a gorgeous night and seemed so fun to be eating outside and enjoying the music with so many people.

By this afternoon, my body had had enough and crashed on me.  I’m glad it didn’t happen during the morning service.  Dan gave a sermon on 11 Peter 1 and how we should grow in our faith if we want to know God’s blessings in our lives.  I took lots of notes and found his teaching to be very challenging.  Public speaking is way out of Dan’s comfort zone, so it was good to see God’s anointing in His message.

After church the Walls were headed to Pizza Hut for Faith’s birthday lunch.  She’s 9 today and that’s where she wanted to go.  She was all smiles talking about it.  Faith was born right here upstairs in our room.  Dan and Melissa were in the process of building their home and were living with us at the time.

We left camp around 11 yesterday.   We all agreed that it was one of our best years of camping on many levels.  We’ve already put in a request for the same time next year.  It will come very quickly.

PS:  I've got friends in high places.  Here's my brother in law and you-know-who in the Oval office.
