Guatemala’s Independence Day
As if there isn’t enough to do with regular stuff… I’ve had issues with my Outlook Express, my Shaklee credit card, and my PayPal that involves a lot of extra time with people on the phone who don’t speak English very plainly. It was all dumb stuff, but had to be done. And all to no avail since the problems have not been resolved. Meanwhile, Sarah hasn’t gone home yet and the more I learn about her, the sadder it makes me. There hasn’t been much going on to write about that I can think of. There are lots of things I’d like to write about, but haven’t had the time. I’m listening to the Red Sox spanking the Tampa Bay Rays – right in the shadow of my cousin’s Sports Bar. You’d think they’re in Fenway the way people cheer whenever the Sox do something great – 13 to 1 so far. Wow. Dan finally got to a game on Saturday. His first try this year was rained out. They lost badly and he didn’t get to see some of the pitchers that he would have liked, but they had a good time anyway. Melissa and the kids stayed overnight with us. We went up to see Marie. She’s doing well. We took her to the little Deli across the street. The kids all had money to spend and she bought some M + M’s. I return to my second week of pizzas tomorrow. Things went very well last week with Crysten’s help. The kids sure do grow over the summer. And today marks the day when Guatemala gained its independence from Spain in 1821 – 187 years ago. All for now… |

I haven’t been able to blog lately because I’ve had to hunker down in order to be away for a week starting Wednesday.
