September 18, 2008 What happens in NC stays in NC We went to chapel at 9 AM this morning. Kathy and the three youngest walked the 1 mile home. At 11:30 AM we went back for lunch with Randy and Nicole. While Kathy and Michele went on a power walk, I stayed with the kids and toured the new alumni commons. I treated them to snacks and looked at books in the store while they played ping pong. Randy was a part of the work team that created the beautiful new facilities and if you don’t believe me, there is a plaque in there with his name on it to prove it. We left a message with Aunt Peg when we got home. Bob called to let me know that she had left a message with us at home. The message was to let us know that they were on route to Maine. My cousin, Matthew Corson, died of a massive heart attack. He was Michele’s age!! The funeral is Saturday and Kathy and I will miss it. My heart goes out to his young family, my cousin Carol Ann and husband Eudell(parents), and my Aunt Charlene – Matthew’s grandmother. Matthew was taken in by the Corson’s when he was a cute little boy. They eventually adopted him and made him their own. The upside of Aunt Peg and Uncle Wayne heading to Maine is that we will see them at Erika and Donny’s wedding. |
