*GIANT GIRL SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
When I brought my oldest home from the hospital 13 1/2 years ago I had NO IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you ready for this??? I will start at the beginning...
Around Christmas time J(13) finished a piano composition and submitted it to the Music Teachers Piano Guild for assessment. They loved what he wrote and sent it on to the state level (Texas). We almost kinda forgot about it until a few weeks ago when we started asking if Grandma (his piano teacher since he was 5) had heard anything. We got the phone call this afternoon from her. Dan answered the phone and talked for a minute and then handed the phone off to J(13). Dan pulled me out of the room and whispered to me... "You remember that composition that got sent to state... well, HE WON - FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ok, so I screamed like a big girl and then we both cried like big babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, in June we travel to the state convention where our "little" 5'8" musically inclined teen plays his composition before all the music teachers in the state at their annual convention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then it gets published and all that jazz... WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
