I am a thirty-something homeschooling momma of two; a 13 year old biological daughter, Christine, and a 2 year old adopted son, Joshua. Christine and I are currently using Exploring Botany by Jeannie Fulbiright for science, which is very fun and Charlotte Mason-ish. Our history curriculum is Greenleaf Press’ Famous Men of the Middle Ages plus various other sources. Christine has a fabulous tutor for math and uses Saxon 7/6 for that, which works very well for her. Latin and Grammar are taught by our wonderful Magistra, Ms. Baptiste, they use Ecce Romani for Latin and various sources for Grammar. Piano is Christine’s instrument of choice, and she takes lessons every week next door. She loves to laugh, and brings joy and fun to anyplace that she is! Joshua bangs blocks, is learning to walk with a walker, puts things "in", practices stair climbing, eats dust bunnies, loves swinging and spinning, any oral sensory experience he can get, blows rasberries, loves hugs and kisses, and playing in any drop of water he can find. Laughing, smiling, and making everyone else in the family laugh are his areas of expertise. Life is beautiful! The avatar is by my favorite artist, Henri Matisse.
