Ah, how true. Those who fight battels with their minds and wits have conquered those who fight battles with blood and sweat. Though that says nothing of the Cold War. How can you expect to win a war without death? It's enevetable. There's another quote: "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near. " And if you've seen The Godfather then you know this one: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." ... O_O I'm starting to sound like my brother. Bleck! XP The first two quotes are from the Sun Tzu and the last is from The Godfather.
Speaking of The Godfather, I stayed up till three o'clock last night watching it. Didn't wake up till nine today. Which is good 'cause I'm gonna stay up Monday night to watch another movie: The Curse of the Golden Flower. It's a foriegn film with subtitles. Love those foriegn films. Then...I guess that's all the movies I have timed. Well, wait. There's Desert Punk, but the Colonel timed that, not me. Which is good too cause I don't watch it smack-dab in the middle of the night. Uhh, sorry. I like movies. ;p
So this past week's been interesting. Earlier in said week I got new glasses, Mum forced me against my will. Turns out my eyesight got worse. Soon I'll be having those big, thick lensed glasses. Then the day after that she drug me to Burlington Coat Factory where she forced me (yet again) to get a new coat. I about threw a hissy-fit when I couldn't choose a camoflauged coat from the men section. Then I started going off on how I am NOT going to wear a dead rat on my shoulders ("If I want a dead animal on me I'll go out and kill and skin it myself!"), then I started going off on how the coat's looked too "girlie". I think I said something about how degrading it was for women not to have a decent coat. Then, after five minutes of looking and ranting, I found the perfect one and now I am content. (Phfffffftt). Then, later on in the week, we went to Pines Mall where I got all my Christmas shopping done. Let's see...for Mum I got her: the new Trans-Siberian Orchestra CD, the new Alan Jackson CD, and a pin. Brother got her a pin, a VInce GIll CD, and a radio. Then for him I got: a movie and Josh Turner CD. He looooveees Josh Turner. So, yup, it was a good day. I got Inu-Yasha vol. 31 'cause you can't expect to take me to a place where a Waldons (the only Waldons in the center part of the state of Arkansas to my knowledge, mind you) is and not expect me to get at least one manga. So, yup. I'm semi-happy. Glad the week's gone.
Thank you to everyone who reviewed on Once Upon A December. ^__^ Glad you all loved it. I was really worried that it wouldn't meet anyone's approval, but thank you all. In the way of other writings I'm slowly rewriting Classified Document 61 (previously Classified Document 16), it's very, very slow. The document is over twenty-five pages long and has lots of discription, which is a bit of a surprise on my behalf 'cause I suck at writing discription. I'm also working on the Character document, it's a bit scattered and chopped up so I'm trying to get it glued together...and I'm using "Super Glue". ;P All my short stories are at a stand still as I pick and prod'em like you would to see if a mackerel is actually dead. So don't expect another short story till Spring or Summer. In the way of drawing, I'm basically carrying my pad around and doodling. It's the First Stage known as Slacking Off. ;d
Well, guess that's all I can think of to say. Gonna meander about here. TRY to get my junk in to my closet, do the laundry, string up hotwire (I really need to do that), clean, write, stare aimlessly at the computer screen, and fight with my brother while taking care of my sick Mum. *sigh* I'm gonna go eat some ramen.
Bye-cha. Kayla.
*Later*
Whelp! Just got done putting up the Christmas tree. It went fairly well. Brother had to be the first one to put the presents under the tree, of course he couldn't have waited to get scotch tape...so he used masking and electric tape. Very intriging. The blue clashes with the red. Since Mum doesn't have a stocking I decided to let her use the cat's. She seems happy. Of course we put Coop's stocking up, seeing as how he's the only dog. Might have to go buy brother another present since he got me three. *sigh* Guess I'll have to get the game Gun after all. Oh, brother.

You may think this weird but I have never seen The Godfather. Is it good?
Oh, new glasses?! I need one ones, too. :) Goodness! New glasses, a new coat? How cool is that! :D
(gasp) You got your brother a Josh Turner CD!?! Is it the new one? I so want the new Josh Turner CD. I'm thinking about making a list of the things I want for my birthday and handing the lists out to my family to let them know what I want. :D Isn't that a Brillant idea? I think so. :D
I really liked "Once Upon A December". Good story, good story. Can't wait to read more stories. :)
Ya'll just put up ya'lls Christmas tree? How fun! I love decorating the house for Christmas! I think it's one of the things that gets you in the mood for the whole holiday season. :)
Masking and electric tape? Hmm, very interesting. I'll have to remember that when we run out of regular tape. :D
Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!
lots of hugs,
Jordan Lee
P.S. I awarded you! Come see when you have time! :)

I LOVE the Trans-Siberian Orchestra! I hope your mom likes the CD, but if she doesn't, I'll take it!!
Sorry about your glasses and eyes. Isn't that annoying? Every time you go to the optomotrist, you need a stronger perscription. Grr. Well, that's life.
Ha ha. I won't tell the other dictionaries if you won't. I love mr webster too!
God bless!

glad my answers entertained you,lolz
As for the timeskip, I'm not so sure what's gonna happen with Naruto and Sasuke as Sasuke doesn't seem to want to be saved. He's stubborn like that, but he keeps things entertaining, lol
I've wanted to see the Curse of the Golden Flower for a while now actually. Was it good?
Bye, luv

You are totally welcome for the award! You were the first person that popped into my mind when I had to pick who to give it to. :)
So, there's three "Godfather" movies? Goodness! :) Yeah, I can understand about wanting to sink to floor and cry my eyes out. :) And couldn't 'cuz there's a bunch of people in the room and just one sniff would make everyone's head turn in my direction. :D
The only time I get "forced against my will" is when Mom has to take me shopping for clothes. Mom and I have never really agreed on the clothes I pick out. I'll be like, "Oh, I like this" and one look at mom's face tells you that she would not let you walk out the house wearing it. :D Then mom is like, "Oh, this is cute" and I'm like, I would not be caught dead wearing that. :D
Well, the "Long Black Train" CD is a good one, too. I love his deep voice. Makes me get goosebumps just thinking about it. :D
Yeah, it's an ingenius idea! :D I'm hoping it works! It should! I hope. :) Oh, giftcards are cool but I don't really like them for me. I never buy stuff for myself. I'd have to have somebody holding the giftcard for me and the only way they'd let me have the giftcard is if I'm buying something for myself. :D
Not in a Christmas-y mood!?! Why that's unheard of! jk Well, at least ya got a the tree and stockings up. :) Oh! Christmas in Hawaii!?! I'd love tospend one Christmas there! Then, when I sing "All I Want For Christmas Is A Real Good Tan", I'd be able to get one. :D
Yep! The only time it snows is in Febuary. Well, we'll have snow flurries before that but it doesn't really snow untill Feb. :)
No, I didn't get the books you told me about. I forgot to write down the names of the books. :D I'm going to try to remember to get them next time we go back to the library, which will probably be after Christmas. :) Do you remember what all the books where called? I just remember the last two you told me about but not the others.
Well, hope you have a wonderfully blessed day and a Merry Christmas!!!
lots of hugs,
Jordan Lee

Well i agree--the gov is not perfect...nor do i think anyone ever thought it would be. The great thing is that our "messed up" and human gov can keep our freedoms safe and give us all the wonderful safety nets and things it gives us.
yes and as for world peace...i plan to devote my life to that, if for no other reason than to prove you wrong ;D

I'm getting kind of into evil, angsty emo Sasuke actually. I like him better that way for some odd reason lolz, and yup, Naruto does go nine tails sometime in the timeskip from what I can remember...
Yes, tell me all about it if you do get to see it. XD I love foreign films. I'm also very into learning other languages; it's very fun and challenging, though a little embarrassing when it comes down to actually speaking, lol

I loved the Dough Boy, too! Still do! :D When I first read that, I was really believing it untill I read about half way. Then I just cracked-up! :D
Wow! Sounds like three really interesting movie. :) You poor thing! Having to hold your peace till you went to bed, then you could shedded a tear. :)
Yep! I really, really, really, REALLY don't like shopping for clothes!!!!! :D Shoes, I can handle. But everything else, nope. :) The main reason is because almost everything is tight-fitted stuff. And that's not me. It's like I can't breathe in them. :D
I love giftcards, too. But I never get to buy stuff for myself. :) It's always some family members birthday. :) Now, if it's a giftcard to one of my favorite shops, then I'll try to by myself something but it's very seldom I do. :) Oh! I just remember that for my birthday this passed year, one of my sisters got me a giftcard and I spent most of it on me! :D Once is better than none. :)
Yep! "All I want for Christmas is a tan" is a real song. Kenny Chesney sings it. I tried to find it to put on my playlist but they didn't have it. It's one of my favorite Christmas songs sung by him. :)
Well, don't feel bad. The day before we got the flurries, we had rain. :D
Thanks for telling me a few of the books. I will write them down right now and the next time we go to the library, I'll see if they have them. :) We probably won't till after we get back from Lousiana. Which if we leave on the 28th and we stay down there for two weeks. . .Ha! I don't have a calender around to see when we'd be coming back! :D Oh, well, sometime in January we'll be coming back. :)
Well, hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!
Merry Christmas!!!
