Cause I'm as free as a bird now, and this bird you'll never change.

Free Bird by my all time favorite Southern rock band: Lynyrd Skynyrd. I have their thirty years of great hits CD. Nearly burned it up. Be my second one if the little bugger succeeded.

How was everyone's Christmas? Holly and jolly? Get plenty to eat? :D That's good. I got everything I wanted minus the notebook and iPod. Bummer. Ah wells, I got two gift cards and birthday money to spend at Barnes & Nobels. Booyah!! *triumphant pose* And, brother and I got an extra gift card to Hastings which means I can get a CD. And I have just the one in mind. >:3 Besides the gift cards, I got a ceramic doll, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Avril Lavigne's new CD, coffee and mugs, a stress ball, a thick Jane Austen book that contains Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma, and I also got...um...oh! and a nutcracker and a globe shaker. That's from Mum and Colonel. From Mammaw I got: purple sweats, a jewelry box, and one of the two gift cars. From Papa John I got a make-up bag (which one of my cousins, Emily, loved to death) and a flying, Styrofoam helicopter. That's it. :D No iPod or notebook...or new desktop tower. I did, however, get to see my new little cousin. ^/\^ I got to see Cash! I got to see Cash! And I got to tease his mama all day! *wags tongue* It was so fun! We were all just poking fun at her. Well, I was, don't know if anyone else was but I was. It was nice though. On Christmas Eve night we didn't go to Mammaw's, choosing to have an early Christmas with her that same day, we went to a place called Garvan Woodland Garden's where they had Christmas lights out. It was cool. It pleased mama so I guess it wasn't too bad. She made us pose. Bleck! XP I hate posing for pictures, especially when mama has a camera. Then on Christmas day we went to Mammaw's for lunch. First one's there! Then one of my cousins came with her two kids and poor husband, then the rest of them started filing in. We sat, ate, and gossiped like always. Then the next day, the twenty-sixth, Mum and I went to Comp USA cause it was going out of business. I got some RW-CD's and a new mouse pad for William, he really needed the pad. It has an iceberg on it! ^_^ Yes, I know that's senile but it's really cool. It'd be cooler if they didn't have this stupid black bar advertising heaven-knows-what across it! But that's nothing...yet. ^_^ Then today I started stacking my boxes in to my closet (they were shoved in to a corner in my room) when I was so rudely interrupted by the realtor who wanted to show the house! Who wants to buy a house this so late in December and right after Christmas?! It wasn't to pleasing as I put everything back. That was annoying. Then we loaded up the dog and drove to Hot Springs where we took these *cough* "pig-trails" *cough* to everywhere. Brother actually said: "Are we still in Arkansas? Are we even in the US?" Yes, brother's crazy. Then we got in to this long discussion about how redneck it was out there. I just didn't want the old relic known as a van to break down! All though, there was this logging company back there...but we made it out alright as you can see me typing this. Anyways, I'm gonna finish what I started tomorrow. *sigh* And I was hoping to get it all done today. :( It's an American tragedy!

Speaking of American tragedies (if you can call it such), what do ya think of the new blog look? I think it looks good, got a few kinks to work out, but it's good. Got rid of that hideous yellow. XP I loath yellow. Pink is a saint compared to that wretched color! Bleck! Drama over. I decided that since it's going in 2008 I oughta change my avie and blog look. I'll probably change them later on, but a new look to brink in the New Year. ... How corny was THAT?

Well, Mum's off for another week (have mercy) and won't be going back till seven days after New Year's. She's already talking about draggin poor bother and I around everywhere in the state of Arkansas. I think I heard her say something about arrowhead hunting. /:) Can we say "American tragedy"? Thought so. Well, pray for me. I might not survive. Seriously. I could be dead before the New Year's even comes! Yes, there's the drama again. *sigh* To the doom.

Bye-cha. Kayla.

P.S. I forgot. On the sidebar, under "Places to Visit" (which was formally known as "links") I've added links to my short stories. I haven't checked to make sure they're still good or not, but I'm to tomorrow. It's eleven and I'm tired. But anyways, if anyone wants to read those then their they are. Now I'm going to bed. I can't keep up these all nighters. G'night.

December 28

P.S.S. I just checked out the links and they're working so if you want to go read the short stories by all means knock yourselves out. I have to go unload the car now.

What Say You?

Wow! I like the new look! Cool! :) You got Lynyrd Skynyrd's Thirty years of great hits CD? Cool! I'm not to big on they but I do love their song "Sweet Home Alabama". :) I remember the first time I heard someone say that the song "Free Bird" was 15 minutes long. I didn''t believe them. I had to listen to it myself, the whole way through and I timed it to see if it was true. And it was true. :D

You didn't get an ipod or notebook? You poor thing. Well, there's aways next Christmas or your birthday. :) But you got giftcards! And money! Those are always cool! :D I'm hoping somebody gets me a Starbucks giftcard for my birthday. I know, I said I'm not real big on giftcard but I'd love to have a Starbucks ones! I'm totally hooked on them drink things. Even though I've only had my first one on Friday. :D

That place called Garvan Woodland Garden's sounds like a really cool place. She made ya'll pose? Oh, you poor thing! My mom makes us do that, too! :)

As I said at the beginning of this comment, I like the new look. :) Like you, I think it looks real good. :) You don't like yellow? But you've had a yellow blog for. . . .well, I don't know how long but. . . well, anyway. :D

I have not seen any Alligators yet. :( It's a little chilly down here. So, the gators are all in hiding but if I do see any, I'll make sure to snap some pictures of it and post them on my blog for you. :) And as you can tell by this comment that I haven't been bit by one yet. :D
Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!

lots of hugs,

dixiebeauty Says:

Yeah, Sarah and I did get a lot of really neat stuff. We were totally shocked about getting the mp4 players! :) It sounded like you had gotten some very cool stuff, too. :)

Yes, a hatchet for Pokey. I wasn't to thrilled about mom getting it for him but I couldn't do anything about it. :) And don't worry, I've never heard of anybody getting a hatchet for Christmas either. Well, once in a movie but not in real life. :D

Well, your blog was "vibrant" and "alive" and it did "attract" people with its "lively color". :D But it's nice to change every so often. :) Sarah, Celeste and I changed my blog last night. I really, really, like it! :)

Yes, there always in your birthday to get those things. I think I'll start praying right now for you to get them. :D And yes, a Starbucks giftcard is an awesome idea for a gift! :) Like you sound, everybody loves coffee! Yum!!! I'm drinking some coffee right now that my brother-in-law made before he went to work. :) You've never had a starbucks!?! What!?! Well, don't worry, I never had one till a few days ago. :D And I'm so totally hooked to them. :) The drink I got was soooooo good! But I can't remember what it was called. :( My sister, Celeste "might" take Sarah and I to it again on Friday. She has to ask my mom about it first :)

Yep! You totally confirmed that I need to go see Garvan Garden! :) So, if I'm ever in that direction, we can met there and you can show me around. :)

I would snap some pictures of the gators but they're all in hiding. :) It's been a bit chilly the late couple of days. But if I see any, I'll make sure I have mom pull on the side of the road and snap pics on put them on my blog just for you. :) And I'll try not to get eaten while I'm snappen pics of them gators. :D

Well, hope you have a wonderfully blessed day and Happy Be-lated New Year!!!! :)

lots of hugs,
Jordan Lee

Hi, I'm Arwengirl.

I've seen that collection of Jane Austen stuff, it would be something nice to have. They have one like that at B&N of Oscar Wilde's stuff, he's my favorite besides j.r.r tolkien. I've only read Pride and Prejudice. And a few pages from Emma. Hrm. Anyways, I must go. Hope to be friends!

You're sick!?! Oh, you poor thing! I hope you're feeling better today! It's not very fun being sick. :(

That's funny that your mom thought you knew what your presents were 'cuz she thought you peeked! LOL!!! At least you did really know what they were like Sarah and I did. We were there when mom bought our presents 'cuz she says we are so hard to buy for but I think we are the easiest ones. :) Oh! Wait! I take that back 'cuz we didn't know what one of our presents was. Mom had forgotten that she had bought Sarah and I each a fleece blanket for Christmas and she didn't remember till the next day. We were surprised about that. :) But, I think the present Sarah and I was most surprised about getting was the mp4 player. At first, I didn't even know what it was. :)

Yep! My blog does look very coffee-ish!!!! I love it!!! :D

Yes, I agree with you about the horror of the word "might"! I'm totally hooked to Starbucks! I agree with you that my sister needs to take me to Starbucks so I can get another delicious cup of coffee! Yum! I can almost taste it! :D I think everybody should be able to say that the had a Starbucks drink once in their life. :)
Hope you have a wonderfully blessed day!

lots of hugs,

K maybe it was a little overboard, but I guess that's just the way I think. I made perfect sense to me. I might have to tone it down a notch.

But hey thanks for the comment and critisism!!!
