Old School House Magazine Has Gone Digital

Posted in Reviews

TOS Digital Magazine

I have heard the buzz around about the Old
School house magazine going digital. I wasn't sure
that it would be something that I would like, since I am
a paper girl. I like to hold things in my hands.
No doubt about it , I already am hooked on
the magazine. If you are not a subscriber I would
encourage you to do so one way or the other
digital or paper. Normally when I am reading a magazine
I sort of skim through looking for something good to
read. Something that may be of interest to me. The
Old School House Magazine is one that I like to
read from the front cover all the way to the end. I
rarely skip a story/article.  The summer
issue has articles on adoption,Charlotte Mason
method and special needs, Teaching your child to
love reading, and Intelligent Design. Right there
alone are articles that I needed before this year
rolls around. I know full well that my dyslexic
child learns better by doing and touching then
any other way but it was great to hear it in the
article to help renew my spirit in finding new ideas.
New ideas I did find. I found a great idea on
teaching ABC order and the dictionary. Both of
My children struggle with finding things in that
big dictionary. Well this was just the lesson we needed.
I wont let any secrets slip .You'll have to get
the magazine to see it. I'll give you a clue in that it's
a really hands on yummy way to learn.

So when the Old school house magazine gave
me the opportunity to review the digital version
I thought why not. My paper version was about to
expire anyway. I"ll give it a go. I was a little
hesitant at first but I have really fallen in love with this
way of viewing the magazine. When you
subscribe you are given a link to the magazine.
Not to mention all the other
free trials you get along with your subscription.
You can keep using the link or you can download the
magazine directly to your pc. I opted to download it
so I could view it without being online. The great
thing about it is when I want to save an article
I can print out just that page and put it into a binder.
This way I can organize the ideas I love into themed
areas for easy locating. I wasn't sure I would
but I absolutely do love this way of reading my magazine.
You really should try it.

If you would like to order the Old Schoolhouse
Magazine stop by the schoolhouse store.
There are also some new great freebies there for
download too that you might just want to check out.
