Plan, Play and Pray

Posted in Family life

I have a very busy weekend ahead of me,
now if it begins to rain then my weekend my
be lessoned but if its a sun shiny day then It
will be full of fun. Today I am heading out to
our homeschool playground day. Now mind you
it's really gray and cloudy so not sure if we
will be rained out or not. After that we have a
meeting to plan our group activities. I always get
excited about planning things. I just enjoy the
way it all pans out and its so neat to see later your
idea come full circle.

My next stop on the way home
will be to get a few groceries. Odds and ends time.
I'll probably come home and whip up some food for the
kids then pack our belongings for the lock-in at
church. I mostly have things ready but will look
over that again. Tonight is our youth lock in. Oh
there are so many fun things planned for this event.
First though I have to take my bus (van) around and
pick up the few youth that need a ride. Why it is always
me I dont know.  I have this mini van that has the most
awlful color blue. The kids like to call it the monster. lol
On my path to the church I'll drop off the boys at
grandmas for an over nighter. The girls and their youth
friends will procede to the church. I have to be there
a bit early to set up registration. You know me
organization lady ... So of course I would get picked
for this job. I was really frustrated though when trying
to organize because several of the permission sheets are
missing. I hope a member of the youth team(not
naming names) Remembers the rest of the forms.
Otherwise some confusion will pobably ensue.
After the registration process I am free to roam and
supervise the children. We are doing some really
off the wall survivor games. Oh yes photos will come.
At 10:00 I am in charge of snack and some challenge
games. Which will be eating some nasty things.
At 11 I get to go. Since the church is really close
to my moms and not so close to me I'll be
staying with the boys there. Then at 6:00 am
I need to reappear for devotion and breakfast serving.
Then everyone will be working on a youth Car wash
to help raise money for our group. Now... for the
shameless plug. If you are in the area stop by and
get your car washed on Saturday. :) By 12:00
the lock-in is over and I'll get to bring the family
home. I expect the girls to sleep the afternoon away.

Sunday we have church services. I go at 7:30 and get
there by 8. I stay at church till 12:00-12:30. Then
my step daughter is supposed to come by for about 2
hours . Then off to a friends pool party. Even though
we don't have youth. Majority of the families that
participate in youth will be at this friends house. They
usually have several through out the year. This
year they were so busy, that this will be the first one.
Honestly I know it sounds busy and really this is
just the beginning of the season of business for me.
I really enjoy what I do and its really not as busy
as it sounds. It's just plain fun. What would I be
doing otherwise but sitting around looking at the TV
or doing more cleaning. I can do that anyday.
I want to get out and play with my kids and have
a good time. You only life once. Hey , and actually
its BUSY FUN!!!
