U.S. Government Releases New Dollar Coins!!! You guessed it 'IN GOD WE TRUST' IS GONE!!! If ever there was a reason to boycott something. THIS IS IT!!!! DO NOT ACCEPT THE NEW DOLLAR COINS AS CHANGE Together we can force them out of circulation. Please send to all on your mail list!!! Sorry I couldn't get the picture on. But they changed the coin. A couple of years ago we visited the Denver mint. Shane asked the tour guide he thought that taking "In God We trust" would ever be done. (The tour guide had worked at the mint for many years). He said that there was a slim to none chance that this would ever happen.

I think on this coin, snopes says that it is actually written on the edge of the coin-- still don't like it, but it's there.
