Taekwondo Test

I just finished my Taekwondo belt test tonight. Master Kim said that this was based on your pose, etiquette, and stances. Everything went great but the dojang was packed out whenever we finished I could barely get off the mat.

Last Sunday we went fishing on Loon Lake and caught 7 trout, 3 over 2 pounds and 1 little kokanee salmon. My dad and my brother caught the bulk of the fish and my littlest brother and I only 1 each but we all had fun.

Well that is all that I can think of for right now and I will update later.

May. 5, 2006

Today my mom took my brothers and I up to my grandmas property with our bikes. After I had a snack and put my bike tire on I rode around and started going down some of the hills. One of them had a drop, which I remembered too late, and flipped my bike.

Thursday I found out that my Taekwondo belt test will be on the 25th which make me happy. So until then I need to prepare for my pretest because if I do not pass the pretest I won't be able to take my test.

That is all I have to write about today I will write more soon.

Update

Well as of April 19 my brother and I are officially signed up for Taekwondo. Yesterday we were told by our instructor that we will be able to test in May to go up to Yellow Belt.

Yesterday I made some Peanut Butter cookies using an electric blender and they turned out to be awesome. My dad had 4 that night and my grandma said that I have improved since she tasted them last.

So far I think I might want to go to Culinary School since I enjoy cooking a lot but I don't think I'd want to sit behind a stove all day.

Well that is my update and I promise to update more often.

Update

       Well here is my update.

Last week on Friday night my cousin went home since his mom came up to our house at night. But in his rush to go home he forgot a lot of clothes which now his mom says to get rid of them.

In the process of making Peanut Butter Cookies I forgot I didn't have any eggs so I had to substitute them. It turned out good but not as good with real egg.

Tonight I made some big beef stew with rice and it turned out good.

Well on Saturday my brother and I have a 4-H Pocket Pet show, it will be fun since our Grandma is coming over.

On Monday my brother and I are going to start Taekwando, which is Koriean martial arts.

There is my update and so long.

In all the excitement I forgot...

With all the excitement that I have had I forgot my blog which isn't very nice of me to do.

In February my Mom bought me a hand mixer which I haven't used but is very neat. Also my dad had surgery on his knee because he was missing a piece of cartiledegd the size of a quarter. With that missing his knee caps started to grind against each other and caused him some major pain.

Well recently my dad had me order a fishing stock up for this year. We do it every year but we end up running out of one thing or another, or we decide to try and catch new fish. Also we went to the Spokane Valley to go shopping at Wal-Mart Super-center, there I bought myself a new tackle box.

Tonight we had Beer- Butt Chicken, and man was it good. Tomorrow , if my dad is feeling better, we may go fishing.  And one last thing my brother and I have a Rat Show for 4-h this month  on the 25th.

I am so sorry I forgot to post for a while and I really did forget.

Sorry..

Sorry for not posting for 8 days I have been busy.

Well on the night of the 17th my cousin Jacob arrived and is going to stay with us for 3 months. I think he is having a great time but he misses his mom. Yesterday my mom gave him an albino rat baby so he is excited about that.

I hope it starts to warm up soon because it has been nippy and that is not so fun without the snow. So far it has got up to freezing and I could feel the temperature difference.

This Saturday my brother and I have a practice show for our rats. We had to make a cage display, educational poster, and a costume. Steve and I are going to be pirates.

Well that is all I can think of and thanks to all that read my blog. Have a great weekend.

Spokane River

Today my dad took my family fishing on the Spokane River. When we first got there we had to walk and rig our poles up. After my line has been in the water about 10 minutes I got the first fish, we had to release him since he was under 8''. Well we fished for about 1 hour more and no luck so I moved to a different spot. On my 3 cast I decided to reel it in real slow and Wham! the fish it and took off. After getting him in my dad and my brother's came down to fish in the spot, I think I fished it all out, without any luck.

This Friday my cousin is coming up to stay with us for awhile. He lives down in Oregon and has 2 dogs,1cat,1 Bearded Dragon, and I believe some rats. So we all plan on having some fun starting Friday.

  Well so long and goodbye.

Update

The other day we lost a baby rat.:(  So we are down to 14 rats, and it turns out we have 6 hairless rats.

This Saturday I have a 4-H meeting for Pocket Pets. It will be fun since Steve ,my rat, is coming with his cage mate Poodoo.

My youngest brother's birthday is coming up next month and I plan on making a cake. I have a feeling it will turn out good.

Yesterday my dad took my brother and I up to Canada. We had to  drive around a giant lake bigger than I have ever seen. It took 1 hour each way to get around and man do I never want to see it soon.

Well good bye and so long.

Happy Days

Sorry I haven't posted a while I  have been at my Grandma's who my brothers and I call Mma (Mom's Ma). They had a big snow and we went up to her house to have some fun. On Tuesday the first day we played in the snow, On Wednesday we had a big breakfast and snowboarded down a big hill but that got boring so we packed new trails. One of these trails did not like my brother and his disk sled so the hill threw him backwards jumped off a 1 foot lip and crashed him into a muddy spot and then into some brush with a couple fallen trees laying down. Thursday was exciting we waited for my uncle to get home from school because he said he would take us snowmobiling at his friends. So we went to his friends and he fixed his snowmobile . After unloading some hay for the horses he had to fix his machine again. Well after he got it fixed he went  to shut the gate on his snowmobile well on the way back it went up and flames. It was little at first so he got it out, then as soon as we look away and look back it was up again and bigger . He yelled for a fire extinguisher and started running while his friend got the extinguisher we watched. Anyway they got the fire out and the engine was the only saved part from the front.

And I will confirm the baby rat count and it tallied up to 15. They are called kittens for sure.

M.R.E 's / rat babies

Yesterday my mom took my brothers and I to some Army Surplus Stores and we saw some pretty neat stuff . My mom bought us some M.R.E.'s I got Beef Enchilada, my brothers got Beef steak and Turkey. My enchilada wasn't as good as my brothers Beef Steak but they were fun to eat. We also got military stainless steel plates. So from all the experience I would say M.R.E's are strictly survival food.

Today my brother's rat Digger just had some kittens we do not know the final count but we know there is over seven. I asked him if he was going to sell them to a pet store or private owners but he doesn't have an idea.

Sorry..

Sorry about not posting for  a while I have been trying to improve my cooking skills. So far I have  made 3 batches of Peanut Butter Cookies, 2 pots of Oatmeal and a not supposed to be crumbly Fudge Cake with icing. But it did taste good despite its looks.

On the first of February My mom, brothers and I go to Calvary Chapel Home school group. Normally I have a speech or poster prepared but I haven't finished my rat poster and I am  wondering what I should do.

My brothers rat is going to have rat-lings which is a draw back because for the next 4-h meeting he has to bring another rat. His choices are Poodoo my youngest brothers big rat our Agatha my female rat.

Gus our Miniature Schnauzer likes to play with the rats by bumping his nose till the boys get mad and make funny sounds,  he doesn't play with the girls because   they bite.

Good Bye and So long till my next post soon.

Summer Fun.

Well last summer in July my dad announced he wanted to squawfish. The reason was because you can get paid. He even went through the trouble of buying a book which is very informational.

The 2 rivers were the Columbia or the Snake. First my brother, dad and I loaded up the camping gear and drove 4 hours to the Columbia. We tried to fish the spot that produced a lot of fish only we lost an anchor and gave up.

So after the Columbia we fished the Snake and did fairly bad until some cat fisherman said " We released like 4 squawfish up by the dam." Well we put the rest of the gas into 1 tank and drove up there and caught 4 and had to turn back to camp. We had to wait 1 hour before we could go out again since we were all out of gas. After that we became the top anglers for that station and the little tackle shop ended up making a lot of money off the lures they sold.

After telling everyone our best lure we almost lost our spot. But we ended up catching more squawfish than others. We just didn't catch squawfish we caught King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Small-mouth Bass, and some big Walleye. I will post a picture of the biggest soon.

Well if you want more info. on making money fishing go to: pikeminnow.org  and so long.

Has anyone ever made Crumpets?  I haven't but my brother has gone crazy when the word Crumpet comes up.

My brother and I plan on going on a camping trip without the camping spots. Which means we have to pack light and improve hunting and fishing skills. I plan on bringing Patrick along to guard us.  My uncle's dogs are get pretty mad at Porcupines if they get swatted.

   I will now go. Bye.

New Year Post

Kind of late for a New Year post but better late than never. Staying up this year was easy for my littlest brother, kept talking till I said good-night 5 times add or take a few. For winter here now it is like spring since we have no snow and it is 40 degrees above and down to freezing at times.

Has anyone read books by Patrick F. McManus? Well if you enjoy funny stories his books top the Outdoor Humor charts. Well good day for now.

Traffic

Christmas is approaching and going to pick up the mail at my Post Office is busy enough to fill a bus. My mom does not like to drive around town this time of year it is too crazy... Well the other day I started a book about Gun Dogs and the author said the best dog he ever hunted with was 3/4 English Pointer and 1/4 German Short Haired Pointer. This morning I looked in the paper hoping the price on short hairs would be down and saw an add for the same type of dog for 150 dollars and only 2 months old so it was impossible for the dog to be the same.  I still don't get why there was 2 but one was Pointer/ German Short-haired mix. Well I sure hope you have a very merry Christmas and God bless you all and God bless those who don't want to be blessed want to.

Generosity pays..

I just learned that tonight after my mom explained it to me. In my case my brothers and my mom and I went to a home-school group meeting to Five Mile Heights Pizza. While there my mom spilt up $5 well I earned 100 tickets off that $1.50. About 20 minutes before we left we turned in our tickets and I got some candy which everyone enjoyed and  then we got another $1.50 more well I tried a coin game and won but no tickets!! Well after the guy fixed it I got 250 tickets plus 200 more off a game he just put more tickets in the Super Storm machine ,the employees there are super nice, and I gave my brother those 200. So in the end my 100 quadrupled just because I gave. So generosity does pay plenty.

A very wet story

This accident happened in late summer maybe earlier. Well here is what happened: My uncle and my younger brother were hiking over a soggy marsh land not super soggy just a little, when my uncle spotted a feral cat. Well he is not fond of feral cats so he sent me and my brother to try and catch it, his Lab didn't see it yet, well I decided to jump on a grass clump in a creek. The grass clump was floating and it wanted to sink so I jumped and the next did the same till I was muddy and wet and laughed at. But I learned never to jump on a grass clump in a creek again.

Dogs and Dreams

Now I would like to know how many of you know your dogs? Which group do they belong in? I personally only know ones of my interest which happens to be about max of 25 or less. Every body always wants a certain dog or cat even a rat, which I have a hairless rat very neat rat is he, my dream dog for when I get older is a German Short Haired Pointer. A dog of great beauty and if trained properly they can be very graceful in the field. But with every dog there is a price which this certain dog alone costs $500 and they accessories which is about $200 maybe. So this dog is a very far off dog, but it is a goal which I will have an enjoyment of saving. So now that I have said a few words I will post this so you can read this.
