Earlier Bobby and I found a snake. We didn't know if it was poisonous at the time, so Dad had to kill it. It turned out it was a harmless black rat snake. Here are some pictures:

It was kinda cool looking. Too bad we didn't know it wasn't poisonous.

Well, summer has come to an end. The care-free days are now over. School has started (for the public schoolers) , therefore meaning that everyone has less time than they did during the wonderful summer. No more nights of going to bed late due to youth, no more waking up to an already-hot day, no more looking forward to the youth group outings, no more of the "feeling of freedom". No more of the suffocating heat, the dribbling ice cream, the big glasses of iced tea, the warm summer nights. I loved summer. It was one of my best ever. It was also my worst. Here are the things I loved about summer:

1. My best friend and I became friends. I had known her before, but didn't like her then, but somehow, on the 11th of June, we grew closer, and before we knew it, we were best friends.
2. The library programs. I always had something to do during the season.
3.  The VBS week. That was awesome.
4. The youth group nights. We always had something fun to do, and everyone had nothing else to do, so we stayed late, playing basketball.

But now I can look forward to the summer o' 2009. I wonder what it will be like?

You may have noticed I haven't been writing recently. I just don't feel like it right now. So I guess I'm taking a blogging break. I'll be back soon, don't worry. ;-)

Yesterday was possibly the best youth night I have ever had! Mr. Daniel took us all bowling. We got the youth group discount, since we are, in fact, a youth group. Everyone had to pay for their own, but it only cost $4.50 for the two games we played. This was my first time I have ever been bowling. It was really fun. Mr. Daniel answered any of my questions, but really I already knew how to do most of it from a game on one of my siblings virtual pet's website. =P I didn't even mind the drive there, which was 35 minutes. But now I know that all the guys can NOT sit together on one bench. They were wrestling and being loud. Us girls had a camera, so when we were driving back (at 9:00pm) the flash was really bright in the dark. It was funny to make everyone (not the driver, we made sure that it didn't distract him) squeal and cover their eyes!

Tomorrow is Virginia's birthday. She will be turning 12 years old. She's very excited, because she can have her ears pierced now (Family rule is that we have to be 12). We are going to the beach on Sunday for her birthday, as she has asked.

Tomorrow night, I have another youth meeting. We are going to go over to the river and have a cookout, swim, play Frisbee, and all that. Mr. Daniel is the BEST youth teacher EVER. He does so much for us all. Tomorrow he still has work, but he is still taking us over to the river, and Friday isn't even a youth group night! And we still have youth group on Sunday night. So far, he has taken us bowling and swimming, taken us to the park, played basketball with us, and just has been awesome. And guess what? He is also our Sunday School teacher! I will definitely miss him and everyone else when I move.
