Hobbit dress....
                 BekahsHobbitDress030.jpg BekahsHobbitDress066.jpg

This hobbit costume was inspired by Rosie’s gowns and other hobbit costumes from the Lord of the Rings movies and books. Rose chose the color scheme and I went from there.

The costume is three pieces: Blouse, Vest and Skirt.

Blouse- It is a cream colored cotton peasant blouse accented with hobbit style laces on the sleeves.

              BekahsHobbitDress055.jpg BekahsHobbitDress050.jpg

Vest- This vest is made out of dark blue linen with an embroidered inset on the front. The neckline is accented with hand tatted lace and carved wooden buttons that have a lovely flower design on them. The back of the vest laces up with eyelets and green ribbon.

 BekahsHobbitDress069.jpgBekahsHobbitDress018.jpg

Skirt- This skirt is actually three skirts in one. The petticoat is attached to the green skirt and the green skirt is attached to the brown skirt. On the right side of the skirt the green linen is slightly pulled up and hooked with three hobbit style buttons to allow the petticoat to peak through. Petticoat has rows of decorative growth pleats and was tea stained to create a lovely cream color the bottom hem is also decorated with lace.

Dear Brielle,

When in the "Lord of the Rings" dose Eowyn wear the "Green Dress" that is featured on your costume of the month?

In Christ, Bethany
