Would you like to be notified each time there is a new post or update at….
Brielle’s Costume Wardrobe?
If so please leave me your e-mail address and I will start to put together a mailing list.
Due to the style of my blog I don’t post or update on a regular schedule…so updates and posts are usually written when I have time off from sewing or other things. I try to post something at least once a week, but if I haven’t posted for quite some time I may be working on a costume order or sewing project. So if you’d like to know when I post and what has been updated let me know. I’d love to hear from you. I'm often updating and redesigning and adding to older posts or different areas of the blog. There is always something new......
Sneak Peak: Spanish Inspired 1850’s Gown
Each year at the end of August my family and I attend a large Civil War reenactment and my cousins and I always love to dress up for the occasion. Last year I wore my Dancing with Zorro dress, but this year I’m designing one that is not from a movie, but was inspired by fashions from that era. I was fortunate enough to find exactly the fabric that I wanted for the gown on an incredible sale. So that was very exciting….
The necklace pictured below was my inspiration piece for the whole costume. I also found that on sale….for about $4.00…so I couldn’t pass it up.
More Pictures Coming Soon!
I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for reading.
Your comments are always fun to read and I so enjoy hearing from everyone.
Sincerely,
Brielle

OHHH! I love Eowyn's green dress too! Mainly because it's green and very medieval!

That's awesome! I went to a Civil War reenactment a while back. It was really cool, though we didn't dress up. :( But I knew someone who is part of Civil War reenactments all over Florida, and I think some other states, and she had some cool dresses.

That sounds like so much fun. Your dress is going to be stunning. Have fun sewing and good luck! And take many photos! God Bless-Faith
P.S. To answer you question about the melodrama, it was called. "Bulldog, Saves the Day." To make a really long play short, it just had the basic plot of any melodrama. The good guys win and the bad lose. :-)

Civil war reenactments are fun! It has been quite a few years since my family and I have been to one though. I think there might be one coming up this summer near us. I'll have to check on that. :-)
Have a nice weekend!

Thought I'd stop by and see how the Wardrobe is getting along, looks great!
Was just over at Rose's, and I could barely find the comment button because it's so small!

Hi Brielle,
Thank you so much for the birthday comment. Red roses are my favorite too. I hope you have fun at the Civil War reenactment. I have always wanted to participate in one, but I don't know where to look, to find one. I love the necklace you found, it is gorgeous. I would love to be added to your mailing list, my e-mail address is: filippa2008@yahoo.com I hope you have a wonderful day. Ciao, Sara
