I haven't posted here in 2 weeks - and I suppose I could list all the reasons, but it probably doesn't matter much to anyone but me. 

We start school in 12 days and I'm not ready.  I've had a lame arm (calcium deposits, ouch) for 2 weeks and that's messed everything up (projects to finish, lessons to plan, etc.)

I hope to be ready by September 7th, but I seriously doubt it.  I'm looking forward to all of us getting back into a strict routine, and I'm very much looking forward to Ruth being part of our class this year.

She continually amazes me with the things she picks up on.  Yesterday while waiting for her lunch, she sang:

Dwinkoh Dwinkoh liddoh dows

ow I wundoo what you owe

double u x, y and x

up above the wood so high

How did she know Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and the ABC song, are the same song?  When did she learn the ABC song?  When did she learn Twinkle Twinkle?  I certainly never taught her any of this, and there it is, all the same.  And she just turned 2, last month.

As not ready as I am, I'm sure looking forward to school again.
