I discovered this recipe quite some time ago, altered it to make it even better - and Kev and the kids LOVE these. Super easy to make with 'on hand' ingredients, and sure to be a huge hit with your family as well.
(you can double the ingredients for a larger family - which I always do)
Ingredients
½ c. room temp butter
½ c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
Ό t. baking soda
1/8 t. salt
1 t. cinnamon
1 c. rolled oats
Ύ c. fruit jam (any flavor)
Procedure
Heat oven to 350. Butter an 8" square pan. Mix all ingredients together except the jam - until mixture resembles course crumbs. Press 2 cups of the mixture onto the bottom of the pan. Spread the jam to within 1/4" of the edge. Sprinkle the remaining mixture over the jam, and lightly press in. Bake 35-40 minutes, and allow to cool on a wire rack, before cutting.

"SOLA SCRIPTURA
GRATIA
FIDE
CHRISTUS
DEO GLORIA" Scripture alone, being our final authority, teaches us that salvation is by grace, His grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone.
