It was one of those grey, drizzly mornings when nothing on my To-Do List appeals, unless my To-Do list is: nap, read a Lord Peter Wimsey book, eat cookies. Which is wasn't. So, deciding to work on the Being An Adult thing, I decided to get at least one thing other than school and meals done. I decided to keep it simple and hedge my bets so SOMETHING would get done no matter which way the weather went.
I set the houseplants out on the patio so they'd get watered one more time before winter with real rainwater (in case it stayed rainy). And, I did a load of laundry and hung it out to dry (in case the weather cleared). Figuring, either way, a weather-dependent job would get done.
But, in yet another example of the-best-laid-plans ganging-aft-agley, the weather refused to cooperate. It remained just drizzly enough that the laundry is almost exactly as wet as it came out of the washer. And just un-drizzly enough that the plants did not, in fact, get watered.
* wondering if there are real-life applications of this principle, for example, in the realm of the upcoming election *
to follow those plans that other people post. *snicker* I liked your idea in theory though. hehe
So do I need to start up my own blog again? I always felt guilty if I didn't get to it or write on other people's blogs, but I see that people have other ways of making me feel guilty.
