Monday, October 20, 2008 - Please Weigh In with an Opinion
Devastatingly Handsome and I have one of those little marital disagreements and I am trying to understand, so please leave your honest opinion.
It involves this scale and its current display:
Now, just like the stereotypical husband, Devastatingly likes to solve problems or fix things. And it is his opinion that this scale needs a new battery. However, in my opinion, nothing is broken, in fact, all is well in the world. I have waited a long time to be told my weight is low, and, even though the scale needs remedial spelling lessons, I am happy about it.
How about a compromise? He can put in a new battery when he & the kids want to use the scale, and after they're finished they can put the old battery back in for you. That way everyone is happy. :-)
PS-- I suppose there's a reason why no one has ever come out with a talking scale that says "Hi!" when someone steps on it...
Hmmm..resident guy opinion on an amusing post...when the gas gauge in your car heads towards "lo," how far down do you let it go before you add gas? Or in the case of the Boss, who lets the low gas warning light glow like a celestial supergiant before even considering filling the tank, does the warning like need to blink frantically before you'll pull in to a Citgo? Guyness dictates a new battery. We can't help it. Gotta fix things.
