This translates into party time at the Bananas'. Saturday night is burgers (closest I was willing to come to roasting a bull), trail mix with gummy worms (closest Mr Music is willing to come to a Diet of Worms) and the inaugural viewing of Pilgrim's Progress: Journey to Heaven. Tomorrow we have a good meal after morning worship, possibly watching Luther in the afternoon, and in the evening a joint Reformation Service. Good stuff. And here's my current favorite song for the day.
THAT is a VERY funny song. (And to think I rolled my eyes and almost didn't click. I thought it was going to be, you know, A Mighty Fortress or something.) I just sent the link to a bunch of relatives who may appreciate the humor.
I'm not sure it actually qualifies as a "polka", though. Does it? Maybe if accompanied by an accordian?
OK, um, thanks for the link, I think. Of course I had to watch some of the other "related" videos as well. (I know you did too. Don't try to tell me your curiosity didn't get the better of you.) And just think-- if I had gone to the really fabulous Reformation musical that is playing nearby tonight, I'd have missed out on all that.
(Actually, we didn't go to said musical b/c Spaz had a youth group party and Hubz & Cheez just got back from their trip and besides, they moved it to a downtown GR venue and I hate driving/parking downtown and... poor excuses all. It really is a fabulous show, written & performed by members of a local Lutheran church. We went 4-5 yrs ago and SHOULDA gone again this year, since they say it might be the last....Oh well, shoulda coulda woulda... where can i buy me some indulgences?)
