Vowels

Posted in Storys and Reports

Here is a story I wrote in school. They told me to make it about the vowels when they got lost.
Well here it is.

Vowels

Once upon a time there were 10 vowels, their names were
big a
little a
big e
little e
big i
little i
big o
little o
big u
and last of all little u.
They all lived in Vowelville. Vowelville was a wonderful place but they kind of were getting bored.
One afternoon big a said "Let's go on a hike!" so they packed up some hiking stuff and set off.
After a while little a, little e, little i, little o, and little u were getting tired.
"Father, I'm tired!" complained little e. "Well then let's stop and rest." Was the answer.
All the littles layed down on a big rock and fell asleep and the bigs could not wake them up!
Finally they got up, by that time it was dark and they decided they could not stay there so they turned around to go home. They were in the woods so when little o ran off they followed but when they cought him they did not know where the trail was. They were lost!
But big i had his cell phone and called for help and soon they got home and all the littles did not want to go to bed because they took such a long nap but finally they went to bed and they lived happiley ever after.
                                                              The End

(I know it is kind of pathetic but when you don't want to write it at all how good do you think I would make it?)

 Report on The Pilgrims

One day there were some pilgrims. A pilgrim is someone who leaves his home to find a place where he can worship God the right way. They lived in England and they wanted to worship God freely. But the King of England didn’t let them worship God the way they wanted to. He wanted them to worship God his way. Many pilgrims were put in prison because they didn’t obey the King’s command.  Many pilgrims decided to go to Holland. So they got on a boat and went to Holland. But in Holland their children got very badly influenced by the other children. A man named Miles Standish chartered a vessel for the pilgrims to go to the New World.  After days of sailing they saw land. They were so excited!  But then Captain Standish saw that it wasn’t Virginia, where they were supposed to be going.  They had landed in Cape Cod.  They decided to stay in Cape Cod. They built some houses but it was real cold and they froze!  The first winter, half of the pilgrims died.

Some Indians found them and helped them. First, Samoset came and said, “Welcome, Englishmen!” in a deep voice. The pilgrims were surprised that the Indian could speak English.  Then Squanto came, because Samoset said that he would send someone who spoke more English. Squanto showed them many things, like how to plant corn, how to fish and catch clams, and all kinds of things.

The Pilgrims decided they needed a governor. So they decided to elect John Carver to be their governor. They wrote the Mayflower Compact.  It was lots of laws they made so the people could be safe.

The Battle of Jericho

Posted in Storys and Reports

Here is something I wrote in second Grade.
Enjoy!

The Battle of Jericho

Once a day for six days the children of Israel circled the city of Jericho.  The priests who were carrying the ark went first, then the people who carried the ram’s horns.  They were blowing into them to make trumpet sounds. The Israelites felt strange going around the city.  Then the people in Jericho began to laugh and mock the people of God. On the seventh day, the Israelites circled the city seven times.  On the final trip around the priests blew their horns, and the city came tumbling down. Then the soldiers went into the city and destroyed everyone there except Rahab and her family.
