About Me

I'm a 12 year old girl that LOVES GOD! I see so many fan blogs for Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron, Jonas Brothers, so why shouldn't God have a fansite too? He's the real deal. On this blog we will talk about God, and every now and then, I'll post Bible studies. If you have any prayer requests, and you would like to be prayed for, then you could comment me or message me. You can say if you would like it to be posted on my blog, or if you would like to keep it private. I hope you enjoy this blog!

Loving God
Aug. 21, 2008
back to His promise

Hello everyone!

So what have you all been doing? I've been busy, and BORED. But I just wanted to tell you something, one of the reasons I haven't been posting as much.

When I first started this blog, I was SO close to God one day. ONE, day. And I also felt bad that I hadn't been spending much time with Him. So I started ChristLover to talk about God. But I started to fade away. I started turning my back on God, and I didn't feel ready for this blog.

But now, after going to camp, I realize that I am ready! I've commited my life to God, and plan on commiting to this blog.

So I'm sorry I haven't been posting. I'll start posting those studies and encouraging posts again soon.

~CL~

Songs and entries! Plus prayer requests!

Hey everybody! How are you all doing? I haven't posted in a long time. I'm so sorry! I'll try to keep up now. Right now, I know that God wants me to take on this blog again.

Over the past few months, since the last time I've posted, God has been working hard in my life. I feel like He planted a spark in me that is growing into a roaring fire. I can't explain it. My best friend, Emily, is so amazing. She's been taking challenges to get closer to God, like fasting, praying and reading her Bible. It's just amazing how dedicated she is!

She encouraged me a couple of months ago to fast. It wasn't a food fast, but I fasted things that were taking up some of the valuable time that I could be spending with God. I took a 1 week challenge. Sadly, I didn't stick to it. I kept finding excuses to get on the computer and watch TV. I was fasting electronics!! I hardly survived! I'm ashamed to say that. So I am going to take that challenge again. I'm going to really shut off the TV and turn off the computer for a while. I don't know why, but lately God has really been speaking to me. I know that he has something big planned for my life. And I don't know what, but I hope I will know soon.

Part of me thinks that he is calling me to missions, but I'm only 12 years old! What could I possibly do? I know about that thing in the Bible, I'm not sure who it was, but they said, "Do not look down on me because I am young." Or something like that. I haven't told anybody in my family this yet, and I don't know when I will. But I feel like when I'm older, he might want me to go to Africa.

Anyway, I'm going to try to get closer to God this summer. Hopefully I will grow a new relationship with him that will be amazing.

SO!

I'm starting a new thing on my blog where I will take your prayer requests! If you want to comment or message me, and tell me your pray requests, I'd love to pray for you! Let me know if you want it to be kept private, or if I could post it on here so that others could also pray for you. I think that would be fun! No matter what it is, I'd love to pray for you.

Well I have to go now!

God Bless and have fun on the 4th! WOot!

Forgiveness

Hey guys! I'm sorry that I haven't posted in so long. I'm just really lazy. Anyway, I'll try to keep up on posting. So today, I'm posting about Forgiveness!

So, we all do bad things right? We have to admit it, we're not perfect. Nobody is. God is. Why is it so hard for us to forgive our friends, but some of the time, it's easier to forgive God? Say your closest friend spread a rumor about you. Would God do that? NO. That's probably why. God loves us SO amazingly much, that He would never hold a grudge. Sure everything you do is recorded in that book, but He still forgives, that is, if you ask for forgiveness. One thing that makes me a little upset though, is the Bible says that if you don't forgive others, God won't forgive you. Is that really true? If so, I don't think God could ever forgive me. There are things that people have done to me, I still haven't forgiven. So, when you are still mad at somebody, and you ask God to forgive you, will He? Anyway, it's probably easier for Him to forgive us, than for us to forgive others. He loves us like alot, and we don't love others as much as God loves us. Do we? I don't think so. So if we don't love somebody, that makes it harder. But even when you don't forgive others, God still loves you. Isn't that cool?

Anyway, what does forgiveness mean to you? What the "FOR" means, is this is basically FOR you, "GIVE" my gift to you. My gift, is that I'm not going to be mad at you, or hold a grudge. That's what it means to me. What does it mean to you?

Secular stuff

Hey Christ Lovers!

I've been thinking a lot lately about random things. Like... secular music. What's the point with it? I mean, people swear, they sing innapropriate lyrics. Why do they? Do they think it makes them look cool? Well, what's so cool about it? Swearing: When you swear, it only shows that you don't have a very big vocabulary. So when you swear, it doesn't make you look cool or smart. It only shows how stupid and un-smart you really are! Why would they think it makes them look cool? Like say, Ashley Tisdale. So many young kids have seen the High School Musical movies, and look up to her. Now look at her! She's too scared to swear in her music, so she replaces swear words with words that she still shouldn't say, but she doesn't think it's as bad. And look at the way she's dressing now? The more that kids see these things in the people that they look up to, the more they become it. So many famous people started out on Disney Channel, and turned into just a big mess. People such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Linsay Lohan. A couple of them have been caught drunk driving, been going into rehab, and so many other things! And these are people that kids look up to. Even though I'm a kid, I don't. I recently had an experiance with that. The Plain White T's was definately one of my favorite bands. THEN, I checked out their CD at the library and guess what? Swearing, and lots of, well... you know what I mean. I feel like they let me down. It's not right. Like that really popular song, "Our Time Now" that they do. The lyrics aren't innapropriate, but have you seen the video???? I don't know why these celebritys think that doing this kind of stuff makes them cool, when it actually doesn't. Like this thing with Will Smith. Apparently, he was swearing in his rap lyrics. His Grandma didn't like it, so she just told him that swearing doesn't make him look smart or cool. It only shows how unsmart he is. Ever since that, he hasn't sworn in any of his songs... at least that's what I heard. Anyway, I want to know what you think of the music industry. What do you think it's coming down to? And how will it effect young children and teens? I don't think it's going to be very pretty.

New Study-udy-udy!!!

Hard Times

Do you ever feel like you are hopeless and alone? Maybe your family and the place you live don't seem much like how awesome lives seem on TV.  Maybe you live in an unhappy home and you feel like God is so far away from you, and you feel like he can't hear you. Why does he seem so far away?  Psalm 42  tells how the writer felt when he was going through hard times.

Psalm 42:  As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.

2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

3 My tears have been my food
       day and night,
while men say to me all day long,
       "Where is your God?"

 4 These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go with the multitude,
leading the procession to the house of God,
with shouts of joy and thanksgiving
       among the festive throng.

5 Why are you downcast, O my soul?
       Why so disturbed within me?
       Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
       my Savior and

6 my God.
       My soul is downcast within me;
       therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.

 7 Deep calls to deep
       in the roar of your waterfalls;
       all your waves and breakers
       have swept over me.

8 By day the LORD directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.

9 I say to God my Rock,
       "Why have you forgotten me?
Why must I go about mourning,
       oppressed by the enemy?"

10 My bones suffer mortal agony
       as my foes taunt me,
saying to me all day long,
       "Where is your God?"

11 Why are you downcast, O my soul?
       Why so disturbed within me?
       Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
       my Savior and my God.

Notice how honest the writer is with God about how he feels (Psalm 42:9-10). Are you that honest with God? You don't have to pretend th him that things are okay, even when they aren't.

Read about it!

Read 1 kings 19:1-18. Elijah has had a long, hard day. He spent all day on mount carmel (1 kings 18:16-40). In the evening, he rebuilt the Lord's altar and offered sacrifice. Then he climbed to the top of the mountain. And finally he ran all the way to the city of Jezreel ahead of Ahab's chariot--in the rain. Sounds like an Iron-Man competition!

But now, wicked queen Jezebel says she will kill Elijah. So Elijah panics and runs for his life. He has gone through a lot and is tired out. Elijah says, "I have had enough" (1 Kings 19:4)

Then God steps in. Elijah thinks he is the only person left who worships the real God (1 Kings 19:14), but God tells him there are still 7,000 Godly people in Israel (1 Kings 19:18).

When you feel alone, sometimes you only think you're alone. Or maybe things seem bad because you are really tired, and you need a good sleep, like Elijah did.

Nov. 3, 2007

Sometimes we ask for things that we aren't ready to recieve yet. There is a part in my Bible that I'm not so sure that I understand. It says that we will get everything we ask for, but later on in life. Not right when we want it. Does that mean we get everything thing that we want? Like do we get to be famous? Does Miley Cyrus REALLY become our best friend? God knows what is best for us. He knows us more then we know ourselves. He knows what is right for us, and He knows what isn't.
I know somebody who was going through a hard time with something. But they kept on praying about it continually and paitiently for 2 years. Eventually, God helped them out of it at the time that he knew was best. So if we are patient with God, he will eventually do what is best for us. Sometimes we pray for something, but God gives us something better.

And, sometimes we pray selfish prayers. Such as this one.

"Dear God....

I saw an awesome thing at the mall today, and I seriously want it. And you know that contest to win 100,000 thousand dollars? I want to win that too. If I do win, I'll buy a plasma screen TV, every game system in the world, and a whole new wardrobe all for myself! Man that would make my friends SOOO jealous. Well, God, have a great day! Oh, and please give me everything I ask for. AMEN!"

When, we should really be praying prayers like this:
"Dear God, I really want that thing that I saw at the mall today. So if it is your will, please bless me with it. And there is a contest to win 100,000 dollars too! I really need the extra money. If it's your will Lord, please give me these things, unless of course you have better for me.

AMEN!"

Even though a lot of us pray like prayer number 1, that doesn't mean God won't answer it. But if we pray like prayer number 2, Well, God will be more proud of us. Even though sometimes it is hard to say, "If it is your will," It does make sense. For example. God's will is what is best for all of us. So this way, we're not saying, "Give this to me now," We're saying, "If it is your will for me to have this, then your will be done." As it says in the Lord's Prayer. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."

God knows everything. Though we may not know what will happen in the future, God will always do what's best.

Bible Study # 2.

God's Love

the prophet Joel writes a lot about God judging the nations of the world. But in Joel 2: 13, he tells us God isn't out to get us.

*What words does Joel use to describe God in Joel 2:13? Gracious means generous. Compassionate means kind. Slow to anger means God doesn't have a bad temper. Abounding in love means he gives lots and lots of love. Relents from sending calamity means God lets up on people, if he has a reason to. Think about the kind of person these words describe. Think what a wonderful person God is!

*Some of these same words are used to describe God in Psalm 103:8-14. David says God is like a good father . Not everyone has an earthly father who is good and kind, and even good fathers aren't as good and kind as God. But we have a heavenly Father, God, who is good and kind and who knows all about us.

                                                              Read about it

Read Matthew 18:21-35. This parable tells about someone whose huge debt was cancelled-the person he owed money to was kind and let the man off the hook. But the same man whose debt was cancelled went out and beat up someone who owed him a little bit of money! He didn't show any pity or kindness. The lesson is that our God is kind and forgives us our sins, so we should be like him and forgive people when the sin against us.

                                                  Experiance it

Think about which person is most like you-the forgiving person or the unforgiving person. Now read this verse: "Have mercy on me, Oh God, according to you unfailing love; according to your great compassion blog out my transgressions." Psalm 51:1. Forgiveness is so very important-wheter we are giving it or getting it.

Bible Study #1

God's friendship with you:

Each day in the Garden of Eden is perfect. The soft ground is like a pillow under Adam and Eve's bare feet. The dew waters all the plants and trees, and they grow thick and green. In the evenings, Adam and Eve go for a walk with God. They are happy and enjoy being with Him. But this day, everything changes. They sin. Then when they hear "The sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day"(Genesis 3:8.) Adam and Eve do not rush to meet him. Instead, they hide because they feel ashamed, a new feeling for them. Shame can get in the way of your friendship with God too. But it is important to know the difference between real shame and false shame. You feel real shame when you feel guilty about your sin. For example, if you lie to a friend, you feel will feel guilty and ashamed about it. This is real shame. False shame is feeling dirty because of another person's sin against you. For example, if someone is angry and yells at your and calls you bad names, you may feel ashamed about it. This is false shame. Jesus can help you with both real shame and false shame. Because He died on the cross to pay for sins, He can forgive your sins that cause real shame. And knowing he loves you and care about you can help you feel better when other people make you feel false shame. 1 Peter 2:24. "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness by his wounds you have been healed."

Read Acts 22:3-21.

Paul used to be excited about hunting down Jesus's followers. He thought he was pleasing God by putting christians in jail. Then God showed Paul the truth. He became a christian himself. He had been wrong to attack christians, and he felt bad about it. God forgave Paul, and Paul spent the rest of his life doing God's will and God's work. No matter what bad things you have done, God will forgive you if you believe in Jesus. He loves you and has plans for you. He says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindess.

Grab a sheet of paper or a notebook. On the top (with pencil), write SHAME. And the name of a few sins you have done recently that you are ashamed of. Then, take so time to pray and ask God to forgive those sins. Then, erase the word SHAME, and write FORGIVEN with you favorite color of marker.

Feels good doesn't it?

"Those who look to Him are radiant. Their faces are never covered with shame." Psalm 34:5

Back from camp

Well! I'm back from camp and it was great. The worship was totally amazing. There was a song with a chorus that goes:

Everlasting, your light will shine when all else fades, never ending, your glory goes beyond all fame. and the cry of my heart, is to bring you praise. From the inside out  Lord my soul cries out.

That's my favorite worship song!

Besides a few embarrassing things, and an odd person.... camp was pretty good! Today I have my first babysitting job. I'm a little nervous quote the words: FIRST BABYSITTING JOB. I watched their daughter at church and got paid 60 dollars! I'm giving ten to offering.

I'll post the first Bible study tomorrow. When I'm done writting this entry, I'll comment everyone back!

Bible Studies

My Grandpa was here the other day and I was talking to him about Heaven. We are both very excited! Then somehow  we started talking about Bible studies in my Bible. I told him that if I have a problem, I look for a Bible studie that somehow has to do with my problem. I told him about the time that I felt like I wasn't going to heaven because of sinning. But when I read the Bible study about God's love and friendship, it helped me very much. Ever since I found these Bible studies in my Bible, I have been trying harder to live my life for God.  There are a little over fifty of them, and you do one per week. So the process would be kind of slow. But I'm going to start putting the Bible Studies on my blog. I'll give everyone a week to say if they want to do it or not. From today (Sunday) to next Sunday. That's good for me because I'm going to camp and won't be back until Friday. So don't expect me to post right away! But if you would like to do the Bible study, I'll post the first one on Sunday. Comment on this post if you want to do it!

Mother Theresa's Prayer

I found this prayer in an album cover. I love it!

Dear Lord,

help me spread Your fragrance wherever I go

Flood my soul with Your Spirit and Life

Penetrate me, possess my whole being so utterly all my life may only be a Radiance of Yours

SHINE through me and be so in me that EVERY sould I come in contact with may FEEL Your presence in my soul.

Let them look up and see no longer me but only YOU o Lord

Let me preach You without PREACHING mot by words, but by my example by the catching force , the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the LOVE my heart bears to You.

In Your name, Amen.
