We enjoyed the tour at Hammonds Candy Factory in Denver. They have been around since 1920.

Jun. 25, 2005 - Wild Oats Market

While this might sound well, too "boring" for a field trip, don't make a hasty judgement! We went to Wild Oats and had the best time ever! Allison, the marketing director gave us a fabulous tour, complete with TONS of food samples to eat on the spot, and even more to take home with us. The kids and I were hooked. We also learned all about organic and conventional foods, the food guide pyramid, and we are now very happy to shop at Wild Oats. How can we not? They treated us like royalty!

This is one of our favorites, and I'm taking my co-op there next month so I scouted it out today. Here's my blog entry about it! http://homeschoolblogger.com/hipmama1970/7619/

Hi Nancy, yes I do remember you! You were one of the first people I met when we started CCHF, at the Support Group Leaders' Tea. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
