Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy...
As a business owner, wife and homeschool mom, I have lots to do. The temptation is to keep going until I drop. Many of you out there are just like me. Do you take a break when you need one? Do you take regular time off during the week? Do you take regular vacations? Me neither! Look what showed up in my email box today. A Mountain Wings article on Vacation Deprivation.
"Vacation deprivation is running rampant, workplace experts say. American productivity is up, but so is depression and the amount of money spent on coping with burned-out workers."
I guess Father really does know best!
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work. But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." -Exodus 20:8-11
