Jun. 20, 2008 - Birth Day...

I looked out my kitchen window this morning and squealed like a girl.

Honestly!

This is what I saw:

Eight little ducklings waddling around:

Busy, busy, busy! They don't sit still:

Following "Mama" wherever she goes:

And if that's not enough cuteness for one day, we also had this birth:

Freshly hatched:

And though he's way ahead of schedule, he's doing well so far:
His name is "Shel".
As in-

"Early Bird"
by Shel Silverstein

Oh, if you're a bird, be an early bird
And catch the worm for your breakfast plate.
If you're a bird, be an early early bird---
But if you're a worm, sleep late.

SOOOOO cute!!!! I love them, they are so sweet. I have always loved ducklings - these photos just made my morning. And the little chick is very precious too (just in case it might feel left out ;-) )

I just practically squealed like a little girl when I saw those pix too!! haha TOOOOOO cute!!! I actually DID squeal like that when I saw some wild geese and their babies the other day on the side of the road walking toward a little pond!!!!!!!!! I made my husband stop so I could get out and take pictures of them!! I should post them on my blog soon!!!
I added you as a friend! I can't wait to read more on your blog! (I found you from the little girls blog that had sewn the doll overalls, which I had found because I also do the "Sew Crafty Friday" blog post each week and her Mom had posted about her project!)
Nice to meet you :)

I love the poem. Hadn't read that before.
Thanks for sharing, and especially for coming by my daughter's blog and leaving the lovely comment. She was tickled pink.
You are a blessing and my blessings rest upon you also.

How exciting to see those birds in your backyard. : ) I bet the whole family is thrilled.
I can't wait to see pictures as they get bigger.
Thanks, also, for your prayers for my family. I really appreciate them!
