I'M STILL ALIVE! Wow! Things have been
absolutely crazy here, and while wanting to blog, I knew that there
were other things that needed my attention. Here's some of the
highlights over the last couple of weeks:
We started school, in the kitchen because the school room still wasn't cleaned and organized, but I was determined...
While spending any spare time in the basement trying to clean the
school room, the toilet overflowed after sick three year old was in
there... (keep in mind, we have a toilet that is never supposed to
overflow). I was cutting my son's hair at the time, so I didn't
worry when she said it wasn't flushing... hey, I knew it wasn't going
to overflow, right? So when my son's hair cut was done, I went to
tell the other son it was time to get out of the shower and... opened
the door to 2 inches of standing water. My husband came in,
starting plunging... poop every where... (oh yeah, and I'd just deep
cleaned the bathroom the day before, of course). I ran downstairs
to see if it was leaking through, and stopped at the bottom of the
stairs... it was POURING in from one side to the other in a steady stream... SO... I had to spend a few days getting things back to the chaotic state they'd been in prior to that little episode.
My husband and I went to Denver, Colorado for a few days.
We've never went away for that long since we've had children, and I've
never been away at all from my one year old. It was a wonderful
time, but we're glad to be back. I'm so thankful for the time I
had to spend with him alone... it was so nice and I'm so thankful for
the renewing time the Lord gave us.
So... as you see, it's been a little busy... I've missed writing, and
missed reading your blogs even more. I hope you're all well, and
I hope to get back on track here soon. I hope your school years
are going well and that you're families are safe and well.
Remember to cherish the moments, in light of the hurricane. God
Bless you all...
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.

Glad you're back on the board. *Happy smile*
