Yesterday we celebrated Independence Day,
and thought it would be fitting if we had a "count down". My
husband and I decided that we're going to plan for this trip as if we
were leaving in a year. We figured that "Independence Day" would
certainly be appropriate! We may go before then, and we may go
after that, but either way, we'll be prepared. Plus, it will be
fun to be counting, and seeing how long it takes to get everything in
place and as prepared as possilbe. Each day we're going to
something. Whether big or small, something will directly pertain
to the trip. (Even doing laundry counts, since it's maintaining
the house so I don't get behind, so I don't have to spend time on it
later, so I have time to devote to getting ready for the trip... see
how my mind works! Tee hee.) So... along with any thoughts
I might have here, I'll also have "The Countdown" listed so you can
keep track with me...
THE COUNTDOWN UPDATE: Day 2
- Yesterday I printed out blank monthly calendars for a year.
I'll be keeping track (with pencil) what we're doing, and what we're
planning on doing. (Yes, we're planning on compiling everything
when we're done and writing a book. As we've been looking for
information, we've found very little on this kind of thing (go figure!)
and thought it would be a helpful reference!)
- My husband also spent time on the DANDELION SEEDS website.
He's really doing a nice job, and learning lots of new things.
(He's a perfectionist... so it may be awhile before it's all
done! Tee hee...)
- I spent some time looking for business cards for SHAKLEE.
Since it's summer in Minnesota, and the mosquitoes are crazy, I've had
MANY opportunities to tell people about a "Mosquitoe Mixture" using a
SHAKLEE product. Anyway, I thought business cards would be
helpful with my name and website on them when people ask. Selling
SHAKLEE would also help us on our trip.
Well, today is`"Catch-Up Day", as we had company over the weekend and took it easy. So.. before things get
too
far behind, we need to get it caught back up. My desk needs to
get done, because the bills need some "attention"... tomorrow (just
getting everything back in order today, remember?). I also need
to get the mail (we have a post office box, and anyone with small
children knows we're not talking about a five minute outing!), as well
as mail my 16 year-old's
California Achievement Test
back, pick up/drop off books at the library, AND I still have that
pesky mouse in my house (although I have yet to see him, and would be
fine if he stayed "invisible" until my husband catches him!) so I need
to get a sticky trap too. All this to be done... and I'm still in
my robe. Ugh... I need some coffee! May you have a blessed
day!
In Him,
Amy
