I'm so glad I'm happily married.
I do have to say that today I felt like I was back in Junior High, not a 32 year old adult. I have a new cashier, a 20 year old UT student, who is fairly attractive. She is getting ALOT of attention from my unmarried staff (and some of the married ones unfortunately). I also have a 20 year old car detailer, whom is also fairly attractive (or so I've been told) Here is the series of events as overheard today in the service office. Attractive male (AM) spending ALOT of time at attractive female's (AF's) cashier window during his lunchtime. After he leaves, AF makes comment to the other cashier that she thinks he is cute. That was her first mistake: letting me hear that comment. For any of you that know me, I CAN'T let that go without teasing her I am in Junior High again!!!! So.... later in the day, AF comes back to work. It's now 4pm. Her first question to me is, "Do you think AM will ask me for my phone number?" to which I respond, "Why don't you just go ask for his or give him your's?" OH NO!!!!!!!! I CAN'T DO THAT!!!!!!!!!! He'll have to ask me. Would you like me to say something to him? (Feeling very foolish). No, he'll ask if he wants to. Don't say anything to him. So, because I can't let such a great opportunity pass, I page AM to my office. This mortifies AF and she leaves to "go fax something on the machine up front". This now gives me the chance to talk to AM. "Why don't you ask AF for her phone number?" OH NO!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T DO THAT!!!!!!!! What if she says no? Oh brother, this is going to be a long afternoon. Needless to say, this went on until 5:59 tonight at which point AM asks AF for her number. I was not about to leave the office and let him do it in private. I was having way too much fun. He had to ask while I was there. After he asked, I said goodnight and walked out to my car. I couldn't resist one more jab so I called the office from my cell phone and AF answered. I started laughing and said, "If you would have just allowed me to say something, that could have been done in 30 secs, not an hour and a half." This just embarassed AF more and she told me she "was going to kill me." I'm so happy I already have Donna's number. =) CommentsOct. 18, 2007 - geez!
you really do have a bit of a mean streak don't you? you know you'll have to post daily updates now, don't you? if they start passing notes to each other you'll know you're officially back in jr. high. Oct. 18, 2007 - I'm so happy...
