~Finally-RSS feed & Google Reader~
A few of you may have noticed that I'm starting to read & leave comments at your blog, again. That is because finally I have started using Google reader. This is so like me, know something would be really great, keep putting off that really great thing, then finally be lead to do it by shear presence of being at that place to do it. I set up an email address the other night at Google, while I was there I set up my reader. I know finally!
I like Google reader because of the ease of reading blogs and it shows only the entries I haven't read. Again, it is just SO easy!
A lot of you have posted about having your RSS feed on and different ways to read blogs via RSS so I won't bore you with the details. Doing a Google search will yield a plethora of information on RSS feeds, you know all of the technical information and such.
But if you have never checked to see if your RSS feed is on, please do. When you log in to your Homeschoolblogger account click on the word settings, then click on the red words Site feed. Turn on your site feed from there.
I appreciate that some bloggers have a notify by email of new updates link on their blog. But reading through a RSS fed reader is more time efficient.

I still just use the /friends feature of hsb, but then I forget to check blogs of friends who are not on hsb!

I love that you found and are using something that helps you! I get stuck in technology ruts and don't like to change things because I have to learn something new. Then once I try it I'm usually hooked and wondering what ever took me so long.

I have been using Google Reader for a long time now and love it. It helps keep everything organized and cuts down on all the clicking around.
I'm not using my HSBer all that much anymore, so go to my other blog here:

and add that one to your reader!

I started using bloglines when HSB updated their blog a year and a half ago and I couldn't use my "friends" page. When I switched to wordpress, I had everything set up so that I could still keep in touch with everyone.
I don't think I would still be blogging if it wasn't for RSS feed readers. I didn't have time to link into everyone's blog, load all their graphics and comment. Especially when often I was loading a blog that hadn't been updated. I keep posts "new" (mark as unread) until I have time to comment on them.
