I have not written a blod since... well.. it's just been a while. For those of you who actually read these (hah), here is what I have been up to in life!
I have been riding horses for 6 1/2 years (aprox.), and am POSSIBLY (unsure) going to be able to ride a FEI level dressage horse who may be donated to the pony club in my region. If so, AHHHHHHHHH! That's super exciting. I finished my sophomore year in HS, and am PROBABLY done with all high school regular courses. This means goodbye to FLVS *sniff sniff* And HOPEFULLY will be doing duel enrollment at DBC this fall. I can now officially get my drivers liscense ANY time I want................... after I study................ drive more............ get past parents............ you know the drill! I recently got back from AZ with my daddy! We had a blast! Ask me about it if you would like! My mom and brother went to Costa Rica while we went to AZ (totally something new for our family) and they had a blast too! I will hopefully be going to summer camp at Camp Cherith this year, be getting my liscense over the summer, doing Algebra 1 (still) and then Geometry in the fall... Hmm.... Oh, I will be finishing up General Science with Dr. J. Whyle (book at home) during the summer.. Today I am printing my FLVS grades (possibly the last thing I will do with FLVS ....... *CRIES*)....... and catching up that darn home school record book for the state! Fun fun fun!.... hmmmmmmmmm........... Ooooh! I might possibly be doing a sermon for my youth group called O2 at Northland Church Distributed, OR. T'will be SO AMAZING! Ask me about that too if you are curious.. it is totally awesome how it came about! Hmm.. Eric graduated HS, and is giong to Stetson in the fall as his JR. year (woot), and maybe I'll have a car then? PRAY FOR IT!!!!!!! hahahaha. Other than that I am just looking forward to what God has planned for my life in years to come, which I am absolutely oblivious of how he will do what he wants to do.. And just praying for all needs to be met within my family as some of them are preparing to move overseas this summer. I am praying for them all to be on the same page and in agreement about God's will, and I am so greatful for all that had to happen for me to just let it go that they are leaving! Please pray that God's will be done through everything that is happening with my Grampa, as he is still lingering and we are waiting patiently for the time when the LORD takes him. By him still being here there is much indeciciveness about where and what we will all be doing, but I am just praying that God will continue to show up during these days of hardship on our family. I'm glad God is meeting needs and I'm so confident that he will continue to do so! By the way, Daisy and Belle are SO enjoying summer (esp. Daisy) my little hot dog! I can hardly wait to do more Landmark Education programs and EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! I'm going to college in the falllll!!!!!!! So scarey. I'm only 16. .....But God is good. All the time. I really would like to hang out with frineds this summer.. so if yall wanna get together....... give me a ring! I love yall! (P.S. I only caught 1 snake in Sedona, AZ!)
I am face to face with my own humanity while my knees shake in the realm of new possibility. I am: the marked, the forgiven, seeker of marvelous light, and shattered by darkness. I am running towards all I know at this point. Hallejuha, that grace like rain falls down on me!
Come my way -- Skillet
Hundreds come from everywhere
Just to see your face and touch the healer's hand
Desperate, I push through the crowd
If I could touch your clothes
I could feel your power
Come my way
Please look
And notice me
Just to release my pain
Just to know your name
Come my way I'm out of touch
I'm out of reach
I've got the faith to believe
Am I out of touch or out of reach
What would it take for you to walk towards me
I'm out of touch, out of reach
But I'm running towards you and it's all I believe
So, what is love anyways? Has the worlds view of love changed over time? Are we right? Is love a feeling? If it is not a feeling, what is it?
I am going to discuss a few things that I have recently discovered about what love is, and what it is not.
To me, love has always been a part of life. I want you to know where I am coming from here... I am a believer in Jesus Christ and for this culture, what most people would call a "Christian" (even though the word 'Christian' was never said in the Bible, Paul talked about following Jesus Christ and living our lives for him, and to be more like him.) But keep in mind that every single Christian does not agree on the same aspects of their faith and every single Christian has their own singular view (just as everyone in the world does) about what they believe to be true.
Back to the subject of love:
What does it mean to love? What does it mean to be in love? Is there a difference?
In my view, love is something to be made known through action, you could also say that love is a verb. I believe strongly that when in the Bible, it says, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her" that Paul is talking about love as an action.. Love as giving. Jesus lived a sacrificial life. If you don't believe me, fine, but consider this: Would you die if you were perfect and sinless, for the WHOLE WORLD that was impure, imperfect, and completely screwed up? This is what I call sacrifice.
Let's talk about how love in this day and age has evolved...
In modern day society, if you go up to any random person and tell them "I love you", chances are, they will probably think that you have a crush on them, or have feelings for them. This is the key part of this whole discussion. I think that we have been desensitized into believing that love is a feeling. We also believe that feelings are on default. They come, they go, there is no controlling them, there is no stopping them, they just happen, and when they just happen, we are victims to them. This however, is false in my opinion. For every action, there is an equal and opposite -- reaction. This means that whenever an action happens, something follows it. What follows it? What is an action?
ACTION:
1.
the process or state of acting or of being active: The machine is not in action now.
2.
something done or performed; act; deed.
3.
an act that one consciously wills and that may be characterized by physical or mental activity: a crisis that demands action instead of debate; hoping for constructive action by the landlord.
4.
actions, habitual or usual acts; conduct: He is responsible for his actions.
5.
energetic activity: a man of action.
6.
an exertion of power or force: the action of wind upon a ship's sails.
7.
effect or influence: the action of morphine.
8.
Physiology. a change in organs, tissues, or cells leading to performance of a function, as in muscular contraction.
Let's just say for a moment that everything in the world is energy. Yes, I know, I probably sound like a scientist right now, but let's just think about it. Scientists have discovered that everything that has a frequency is energy. Our thoughts have a frequency, trees have a frequency, even a rock has a frequency. Anything and everything that we perceive, light, and everything, is energy. But what does this mean? Well, I believe that Albert Einstein figured that one out... Have you ever heard of E=MC2? This means that everything perceivable by human means, is energy.
If everything is energy, what role does love play in all of this?
Well, assuming that everything is energy, we can also assume that actions are energy. Love is energy.
So, if energy is action, and action is the process of doing something, and love is a verb, how do we connect the dots? Feelings follow actions, and if love is a feeling, then it always follows an action.
So did Christ have feelings for all of us when he died on the cross? No! He did love he acted out love in the way he laid down his life for us. What I am saying here, friends, is that we can choose to do actions of love rather than believe that love is a feeling. But before you can do actions of love, you have to make up your mind that you are going to BE loving. If you powerfully choose to be loving, just as Christ did, it calls forth actions and opportunities to do actions of love.
In love:
I love is non existent. If you fall in love, you can fall out of love. This is how it is for me: you are always in control of what, or who you love. Don't believe me? Ask yourself this.. Why is it that you are soooo very in love with your boyfriend / girlfriend, but absolutely can not stand your enemy? It's all choice. You choose to constantly cause yourself to be in love with some, whether it be emotionally, physically, mentally, or spiritually in love with them, which is also called attraction, which is controllable. To me, there is no such thing as "in love" because the idea of being "in love" has to do with you causing (or allowing) yourself to be attracted to that person, place, thing, or idea.
WHAT IF:
What if we could powerfully choose to be loving? What if we could tell every single person we came across that we love them? Would we truly mean it? Or would we still believe that we have feelings for them, which we are embarrassed about, or ashamed about, and we never truly mean brotherly / sisterly wholehearted love?
In Galations, there is the Fruit of The Spirit.
When God tells us to love one another, and be the fruit of the spirit, what I have come to understand him to want from us is to love one another, and to be the fruit of the spirit. Simply put, just as he says, just as he means. God never says anything he does not mean. So will you TODAY choose to be love. Choose to be loving, and attract to yourself actions of love? Or will you contain your deep attraction to that person and never share the LOVE OF GOD? I don't know about you, but today, I choose to BE LOVE.
The importance of patience and trust when applied to dating and getting envolved in a relationship with the opposite gender can be pretty hard to grasp. I find that when we as God's children focus on him and not humanly foolish earthly desires, then we can protect eachother and ourselves from evil. But how do we apply that to everyday life? Well the answer is simple.. or atleast sounds simple.. Don't fall into temptation in the first place. Simple right? Wrong! The problem with that is... its just the way God made us. He made us wonderfully and fearfully and he also made us as victums to this broken world all for his perfect will. God wants his best for you and me and his best is what will be revealed to us. Being a freshman in high school, I know that there is alot of potental or already happening damage that can or is being done, but its a very important thing to step back and look at how if at all are you harming the other person? Or other people around you by setting a good/bad example for them? God wants us to keep our hearts and our bodies pure and love and serve others while we wait upon his timing. The more you give bits and pieces away to people who you view as potential boyfriends or girlfriends, the more you are not preserving for your future spouce. And when people give the wrong impression to friends and their friends pick up on maybe you like eachother, then you are also setting a bad example for those around you. Rather than putting your trust in man or things of this world, trust in him and trust his timing while you wait for him to reveal His best for you. This is my view. "The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you."
Well... what can I say? These past few months have been hard for me and my family. We have been dealing with my Grampa dying slowly over the course of about 14 months. But these past few months have been the hardest. Also, my Aunt, Uncle, and three cousins have moved over here to help up with Grampa. It's been so amazing to have them all over here but its kinda like a frown and a smile all at once. My family is close by, but my Grampa is dying... I really have mixed emotion about everything happening. There has been so much change this year and its quite hard to adapt. But I am very glad to always have somthing to fall back on, God. And he has guiften me with my dogs. Whenever I feel to stressed out, I just go for a walk with my dogs. It always makes me feel better. Especially because of Judah. He is the pack leader. The reason why I am not the pack leader is because he is my teacher and trainer to learn how to become a better pack leader to the rest of the pack. He so reminds me of Aslan. But all in all, It sure is nice to have family here with me.
