For the last couple of years I have been talking about training for and running a 5k race. I have started training (Couch to 5k)in the past and kind of twittered out as winter rolls in and it starts getting COLD in the mornings. This year I started training earlier and while this is only my 2nd week training I have come a long way in that time. It feels great! My plan is to continue to run even in the snow...lol..we will see how that goes! This morning I ran on the track with two other ladies. If I see them tomorrow when run I will ask them if they plan on running during the winter months, and if they do I will see if I can join them on my days for accountability. One of the first couple of times to the track, Kaitlyn was running around with a little boy right around her age. His dad was waiting for me when I came around from one of my laps and told me that she has potential to be an awesome runner. He also told me about the Boulders All Comers Track and Field Meet. We are going to try and make it to the last race, but now that I think about it, Bryan is suppose to be working the Democratic Convention here in Denver and I think it is the same week. Since we only have one vehicle, that is not going to be possible. Kaitlyn will be disappointed! UGH!! Anyway, since then both of my girls love coming to the track with me and running. At first I thought it would be Mommy time to get away and get in my training, but the girls are old enough now that they don't stop me from running like they have in the past and they want to be able to do the track meet next year. I actually took the camera with me on Tuesday and got some good pictures. Kaitlyn got one of me running, but Bryan had called me and I was panting to him on the phone..the picture does not look very appealing! LOL I guess Bryan deleted it because it is not in the pictures I downloaded. Oh well, there is always next time. Here are the pictures:
