The following are planned HEA events. Information that is written in green is for events that have already happened. Events written in red are those that are coming up.
PE Class
PE class is held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army. The fee is $5.00/child for the spring semester if your child attended last fall. If this is your first semester for PE, the fee will be $20/child. PE will continue until May 23rd.
HEA Co-op Classes
Co-op classes for the 5th through 12th grade students will continue until April 25th. The students are studying science and history.
Teen Night - The teens got together at Marilyn's on April 10th for a night of trivia games. The turn out was great, and even the only boy there had lots of fun!
Geography Bee and Elocution Night - The students who were involved in the Geography Co-op class will participate in a Geography Bee on April 21st at the Shawnee Library at 7:00 p.m. Teams will be asked questions over the material that was presented in class. The team with the most correct answers will win! Students will also be given an opportunity to recite poems or lists or present a research paper or deliver a speech they wrote.
Spring Get-Together - There will be a cookout with hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the fixin's at Linda's home on April 22 at noon. For more information, please contact Linda or Leslie.
Story Time - The next Story Time at the Shawnee Library will be on April 30th at 11:00.
Standardized Testing - Tests will be administered on April 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, and 30. Each grade requires testing over two days. These times have already been filled. For more information on future testing, please contact Leslie.
Field Trip - Our next field trip will be to Frontier City on May 9th, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The registration form must be mailed to Frontier City by April 21st. Be sure to wear your new t-shirts!
