I finally finished adding the dates to the August Get it Together calendar.  Unfortunately, I've not been able to access two of the sites that I've used for history information in the past so there are a few less historic entries than usual this month.  Plus, since it's summer, I've taken a little break and only put in the dates- not the links.  I may add some links later as time allows but it was not a high priority this week.    Nonetheless, there are some interesting events that took place in August so be sure to take a look and see if there are any activities you might want to plan for the upcoming month. 

I've also added a few new links for schooling at HWTK.net and a new featured link for you to try out.  Plus, from now on the most recently added links will have a (New) notation behind them to make it easier to find out what's new each month.  Remember, most of these links are to free resources for your homeschooling.  So if you feel like you need something new or fun to do and don't want to make a purchase- just have a look at what the internet has to offer.
