• Aug. 6, 2006 - Our Russian foster daughter...

Snezhana was finally able to see her father after 6 1/2 years this past week!  He flew in from Russia and her brother (who lives in MD) brought him down to visit.  He brought gifts.. as the custom of Russians is.. and we had a good visit.  Snez is now with him and her brother for a few days.  She will be arriving home next week and we will be preparing for her trip back to school in GA.  She attends the only deaf Christian school in the United States... it is a small but wonderful school for the deaf.

Snez' mom is in hopes of being able to come and visit in the near future as well.. but as of now.. she has been denied access into the US for various reasons.  We pray that they will be able to see each other in person before too long.  Right now though we keep in touch via webcam as her family is all deaf.

This is our 3rd full year of having Snez as part of our family.. we have enjoyed it and also struggled with the various issues of foster parenting.  God has blessed though and Snez accepted Christ very early into her coming to live with us.  Now we pray regularly that her family will accept Christ as well.  She has a true burden for their salvation and one day wants to return to Russia possibly as a missionary!  To God be the glory!
