Pumpking Carving Time!

Posted in Holidays

Last Sunday, my husband and Matt started to carve our 4 largest pumpkins. One of them had started to rot a little on the bottom, so we left it alone and will end up painting a face on it later on. But they did carve two of the biggest ones.

Hubby got to use the battery powered carver this year. I think he had more fun than Matt did.

 Ooo fun time!

Me doing the gooey part. Matt took the picture. Not bad aye?

Another picture by Matt of the seeds.

Carving Time!

Time for the mouth.

One down. This is my favorite one.

Being silly!

Working on the second pumpkin.

While they were carving the pumpkins, I washed the seeds and set them aside to dry out over night before i salted and baked them.

All done!

Pumpkins at night. The tap lights were too big to go into them, but I wanted a shot of them all lit up. I was going to get smaller ones, until......

Our neighborhood squirels got a little hungry! This is what they looked like the next day and still do. My favorite is now a cyclops!

Love the Halloween page, very nice. The pumpkins look great, but I can't believe a squirrel ate the face like that! Well, at least a cyclops is still in the spirit of the season, hah!

We went to the fair before vacation, it always make me feel like Fall has arrived.
