Thanksgiving Lapbook

Ya, I know it has been well past Thanksgiving, but life gets inthe way. Anyway, here are pictures of our Thanksgiving Lapbook.

 

Cover

Booklets about the first wedding (yes it is upside down), the first winter and Samoset and Squanto

Booklets containing facts, terminology, a bio of Miles Standish (we are related to him), what a Seperatist is, food they ate in winter, how to say Thanks in many languages, about the Wampanoags, and who the Pilgrim leaders were.

Booklets on the different names given to children born back then, such as Oceanus and Humility, booklet on the Wampamoags before and afterthe pilgrims and a letter that Chantelle wrote pretending to be Rev. John Robinson.

Booklets containing how much our Thanksgiving meal costs, when Thanksgiving was delaired a National Holiday, The two Pilgrim ships, how long the journey was, the ratio of children to adults onthe boats, some trivia, what we arethankful for, one about pilgrims, about the cornucopia, do you like white or dark meat, what Squanto taught the Pilgrims, and what is the "First Encounter Beach".

Booklets on different words in English than in Wampanoag, and a little quiz on how many words you can make from Thanksgiving.

Booklets on what the first Thanksgiving was like, a what happened next booklet, what a child's life was like back then, a map of the early settlements, the hardships of the Pilgrims, Thankgiving dinner then and now, a game called Nine Mens Morris, info onthe Mayflower Compact and copywork.
