RSS FeedSaturday Psalm & Praise - Yesu Azali Awa
Saturday, November 10, 2007
This song is a favorite of mine and my children. We have seen Selah in concert about 3-4 times. The last time we saw them here, which was several years ago, we got to meet them up close and personal, and Nicol and her nephew took pictures with us and our children, which was fun for all of the children.
She and her brother, Todd, are missionary children, all grown-up now. Their family were missionaries to Congo Africa, so this is the music of their childhood. “Life is so hard there, and there's not a lot of reason to hope, so it's extremely important to be able to broadcast to most of the state, to share the Scriptures and tell them, ‘Hold on to the promises of God—it's life changing, and the Word of God will not return void,'” Todd says.

After Jesus was crucified and arose from the dead, he commanded his disciples that
"All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

RYC: He knew our names from conception! He wanted to be personally involved in out lives! That just blows me away! "Who is man that you are mindful of him?"
