Urgent Prayer Request
Please remember Robin in your prayers. She has gone back into the hospital. To put your mind at ease, please start by reading her first sweet, cheerful, faith-ful post on the matter at her blog:
We Interrupt This Blog For Medical Testing….. The medical update is Update on Robin. They don't really know much yet, though.
***UPDATE*** You can read a little about Robin's surgery and recovery: Answered Prayer - Praise God!
Also, continue to remember Baby Grace (4 weeks old), on oxygen in the hospital with rsv.
And, Caleb had a great night last night. He rested quite a bit yesterday, and I think that helped so very much. Thank you for your prayers!! I am still going to be taking him to be checked out on Monday. I don't like the 'pains' he is having. I don't know if they are from the influenza or something to worry about. Please pray for complete healing in his blood and all of his organs and immune system.
Homeschool Freedom in California
The court's opinion came down in February 28. In it, CA Justice H. Walter Croskey wrote,
"Parents do not have a constitutional right to home school their children."
I also wrote up a great post about the CA ruling outlawing homeschooling. The new info is that Governor Schwarzenegger has come out stating that he will fight for a parent's right to home educate their children. *double-take*
"Every California child deserves a quality education and parents should have the right to decide what's best for their children. Parents should not be penalized for acting in the best interests of their children's education. This outrageous ruling must be overturned by the courts and if the courts don't protect parents' rights then, as elected officials, we will."

A Real Threat to California Homeschoolers
I am concerned about the way California public educators and officials interpret their capacity in enforcing the education laws they have. As though parents have no rights.
California's compulsory-education law is widely interpreted to mean the state is obliged to make sure every child is educated.
That needs to be changed, especially in light of the past year of what California public educators think is necessary to be taught to children. That is why this stand by Governor Schwarzegger is astounding to me. What do you think?
blessings!

"The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases."
Rejoicing with you in the support of your governor!
