Something Eric and Rachel and I were wishing we had the other day was a homemade candling box! Eric was sure he heard peeps coming from the eggs he had in the bowl of water to wash off. I was sure it was the air escaping from the shell, making a hissing sound. Rachel heard peeps. If you have ever questioned this, be sure to read what Suzanne wrote about Candling Eggs posted at Chickens in the Road. She shows you how to create a candling box.
Oh, and there were no chicks in our eggs, but the deviled eggs were sure delicious!
What is Belle's secret to great hair without using the store-bought chemical shampoos? Find out as she shares from My diary of No Shampoo---Day 3 posted at Born 100 Years to Soon.
Rose Denson presents Grandma Rosie's Texas Home - Homemade Lavender Water Recipes...from tipNut posted at Grandma Rosie's Texas Home.
I know this was posted in a previous carnival, but I stumbled upon it, and we love lemonade. Be sure to take a look at Prodigal Gardens..Great site posted at Grandma Rosie's Texas Home.
Dora Renee' Wilkerson shows us another fun and easy thing to do. She has wonderful pictures of how to make a Kumihimo braiding on a new disk she bought. Read her Braiding post posted at Y-2K Hippie.
GP offers a philosophical look at learning from animals on the farm as she asks Are you the Hunter or the Hunted? Watching her horses caused her to consider some things about the dance of life. See this posted at Innstyle Montana- Come on Inn.
SeaBird has harvested the last of the orange flowers from their butterfly garden. She did see at least one butterfly flitting about during the last couple of months. Read her presentation of From the butterfly garden posted at SeaBird Chronicles.
OOhhhh, my favorite! Mexican food! I love to make enchilada sauce from scratch, so I can't wait to read about Laura Williams' Enchilada Casserole posted at Laura Williams' Musings.
You can read some of our favorite Mexican Dinner recipes on the new blog I am trying to name. So far it has been Still Deciding (Jocelyn thinks she is funny), Life on the Homestead, and now it is Walking Therein. I am just trying the names on for size. Not sure if I shouldn't just stick with Seeking Rest in the Ancient Paths or Seeking rest on the Homestead or go with a new one. What do you think?
Autumn Beck has been reading about the ease and simplicity of flats, and it got her itching for a trial run, so she presents Flat Diapers? No Pins Necessary! posted at All About Cloth Diapers. I have made my own diapers, and I know it is a learning experience, so I can't wait to check this out!!
Stacy has a refreshing smoothie recipe to help start your day with energy! Her Green Tea Berry Smoothie is posted at Teaching Diligently - Homeschool Blogger. Oh man, does it look good. We have been sick around here, and in my research, I found that several of these ingredients are good for a cleanse for health. We just bought fruit and will be trying this this afternoon! Yumm!
You'll think you really died and went to heaven when you eat this cake Abi made. It is absolutely heavenly! The bad part about it all is that good things come to an end. You won't want to come to the end of this cake. Death by Chocolate posted at lighter side.
Erica Burgan shows us a cute little something that is also A Frugal Gift Made From Scratch posted at The Sojourner. Very cute gift idea. Or for yourself, even. And you can choose the fabric!
I am so glad we finally have flowers blooming and trees budding. It seems like it took forever for Spring to arrive here. Check out the beauty of spring and Amanda's hand at photography as she presents Gorgeous! posted at My Learning Experience.
Jocelyn of Amusing Reflections of a Country Girl also shows her hand at capturing the beauty of Spring In Bloom.
Rachel is giving away a family secret at at Rachel's Reasoning . You will find my (and I mean mine) special recipe out of her Recipe Box - Mom's Recipe For French Toast.
I hope you have enjoyed the carnival this week. If you would like to submit a post to next week's carnival, please do so on this blogcarnival form. Our next hostess is SisterLisa at The HomeSpun Life.
blessings!
