Pictures Of My Puppy!
Me telling Jeffrey to sit, and him actually obeying at once!
Jeffrey gazing at me, and I at him (I guess.).
Jeffrey looking at me or someone.
Jeffrey staring off into space.
Jeff looking at SOMEthing.
I think I'm telling Jeffrey to stay here, but I obviously don't have his attention.
Jeff looking up at me.
Jeffrey sniffing me.
Jeffrey got the zoomies! Watch out! Ah! Never mind.

An Update On Jeffrey
Hello, everyone! You all are probably wondering how Jeffrey's been? I know it's been a while since I last posted on him. Well, below is a list of what he's been learning (or, has learned).
1) Sit. He's got this one pretty well mastered. Although, if I want him to sit I usually have to hold my finger above his head, and point down, telling him to sit. :-)
2)Stay. This one he's real good at too! I like seeing how long he can stay, while I tempt him to get up with food or open doors!
3) Lay down. Well..... We're trying! :-D
4) Come. He does this well too! I usually kneel down on the floor and stretch out my hands toward him, saying , "Jeffrey Come!" He comes, alright! :-D
5)Down. Well... hmm.... We're not doing too well here, but... I read in a book yesterday that if, when he jumps up, you hold his paws in the air a little while, he'll get uncomfortable and learn that he does'nt exactly want to jump up on people.
What I also found interesting is why a puppy wants to jump up on people. He's only trying to reach the persons face, which is how dogs greet each other. Another remedy to jumping up is kneeling down to his level to greet him.
So, we're busy, but happy! The more I'm with him, the more I love Jeffrey. He seems to be the same way with me.
I'm sure glad the weather here is warming up! Yesterday Jeffrey and I were outside in the backyard a while, playing with one of his balls. And then, again, bright and early this morning I was out with him. However, I think it needs to get warmer.
Mom ordered three books for me on puppy training from amazon. The one I had really wanted, as I had borrowed it from our library and found it very helpful, "Puppy School". I can't remember off-hand who it's by, I'll remember later and tell you. But, anyways, I can't wait for those books to come! Thanks, Mom!
Well, I had better go! I will post pictures of Jeffrey doing the aboves later!

P.S. I just thought to tell you all Jeffrey weighs 40 pounds. He's gotten taller, bigger, and stronger!

The Police Are After My Innocent Jeffrey!

Things that happen to a person with a new dog...
Jeffrey's vet visit went well. He got lots of treats there, so I'm sure he can't wait to go back!
Here are a few things that have happened to this sleepy, puppy thought girl:
I saw little sister Rebekah sucking on a block (big block). "No, Jeffrey!" I cried, snatching the block away from her. "No! Bad dog!"
Stephen goes running out of the room I'm in, "Jeffrey! Come back here!"
Nadia starts crying about something, "Oh, Jeffrey! What's wrong?"
Stephen comes up to me, I scratch him behind the ears.
It all comes from lack of sleep and chasing after puppy dogs!

Jeffrey Todd
Jeffrey is a mixed breed dog. He has rot, springer spaniel, shepherd, and hound in him. Is'nt he cute?

I am in the process of house-breaking and training Jeffrey right now. So far, he's only had a few accidents. He's pretty good about going outside.
Tomorrow (Monday)Jeffrey goes in for his next set of shots. I will post then and let everyone know how it goes!
Check back every now and then to see how Jeffrey's doing!
