Wow! Thanks to both Suzanne and to blessinghill for this "E is for Excellent" Blog Award. I am now supposed to choose ten other blogs I love.
Here they are, in no particular order:
1. Academia Nut -- this blog is written by a high schooler (in public schools) who blogs her own lapbooks and learning ideas! Amazing! She has read The Well Trained Mind for fun!
2. Handbook of Nature Study by my good friend Barb. She has a blog here at HSB too. But this one is devoted exclusively to using the Handbook of Nature Study.
3. The Educational Life -- Charlotte Mason homeschooling
4. Musings of the Dings -- a family's adventures in faith and homeschooling. Sometimes Lois blogs, and other times it's her husband Evers.
5. My Nature Journal -- another nature study blog.
6. The Brown Academy -- a wonderful lapbooking family, raising their children according to Christian values
7. Our Homeschooling Expedition -- Homeschoolingmommaof4 blogs great links on unit study and lapbooking themes.
8. Duncan Yo-Yo's -- Heather always has great notebooking and lapbooking ideas
9. Little Blots of Faith -- lapbook ideas especially for young ones
10. The Learning Never Stops -- funny, deep, and always real
That's quite a company to be mentioned in. That's so nice of you! And I spent over an hour browsing the lapbooking link that you gave. Very informative and cool that you did that pirate lapbook. you're famous.
Hi Jimmie! Just checking on you. In the news they have been talking about the weather woes that China has had and didn't know whether it affected you or not, but I guess your safe. :)
Jimmie, I don't think you can access my blog from China....but I just wanted to let you know that you've been awarded the "You Make My Day" award, cos your blog is ROCKIN'! =)
I will post the comments I made on my blog here so you can see what I said:
Jimmie at One Child Policy Homeschool (is given the award) because of her amazing Charlotte Mason way of educating, and her wonderful pictures of China.
~^~Homeschooling my only child with a somewhat Charlotte Mason approach and a healthy dose of lapbooks, crafts, and field trips.
~^~Showcasing my photography hobby by sharing images of life in China.
~^~Why "One Child Policy Homeschool"? I happen to have an only child, and I live in China. It is just my attempt at a witty name for the blog.
• February 5, 2008 - Thanks Jimmie
I love your blog too.
