Last week we went to Grissom Air Museum -- it was an absolutely GORGEOUS day! In this picture my group (I took the picture) is standing in front of a Blue Angel while a plane (can't remember what kind -- but it carries fuel) is making touch and go practice runs! It was so cool to get this picture!

On the way home it was whining and I still wondered what was going on with my tires. I was on roads where the speed limit was 60-65 miles per hour! I was driving that fast, too. (I love to drive fast.)
We came to a little town between Wabash and North Manchester where you have to slow down to 40 MPH, which I did. When I heard a loud explosion. I thought I had blown a tire! So I didn't brake and I pulled over but the van stalled and when I tried to start it -- it locked up.
You know what's amazing about this? It wasn't the tires -- it was the entire drive shaft! It had popped out and was on the ground! But that's not the amazing part. The amazing part is that God allowed it to happen in this little town, at low speed, right across from a resting area! Not THAT is GOD! And HE IS GOOD!
Here is a picture of my van getting hooked up to be towed. See the drive shaft on the ground? Isn't God GOOD? Praise Him!

Then as if I didn't need more excitement, we went on a field trip to Conner Prairie, a Living History Museum this past Wednesday and I was the navigator for the group. Well, I got very, very sick to my stomach and someone else had to drive the second half of the trip. It's a two-hour trip and once we got there we were there for 8 hours! I had to lay in the truck the entire time everyone else went in for the tour! 12 hours later we got back home and I went straight to bed.
I'm still in bed today -- at least I'm sitting up a bit longer -- but getting up and around is still just too much!
Field Trips are supposed to be more fun than this! Hah!
But I am so, so, so, so grateful that God was gracious to me and allowed my van to break at the right time. His mercy endures forever! Hallelujah!
