Isaiah, my 11 year old who has autism and functions on about a 6 -7 year old level was watching me.
I had 3 false starts. It's hard learning how much to let out the clutch along with the throttle when you are starting! So I stalled the bike three times, when Isaiah, very frustrated with his Mom said:
"Mom, you need to read the book again!"
That was SO FUNNY.
But I finally did it! I rode to the end of the street. Okay, so it was in first gear -- but I did ride!
I am really nervous about it, but with all these boys in my family watching me -- I've just got to show them that Mom can learn to ride, too! They are all counting on me! :-)
