I did it! I shifted up to third gear and went about 35 miles per hour!
I still can't turn. I don't have control over those handlebars -- they are heavy. But I can start, stop and go. LOL. I am thankful for those long country roads her in rural Indiana! I also managed to meet on coming traffic -- two trucks and a car -- and let them pass me without me freaking out. But boy, you should have heard me practicing my lamaze breathing! Hah!
