I have now put 356 miles on my motorcycle. Only about 700 more to go before it's too cold to ride and I will have met my goal of riding 1000 miles this riding season!
Saturday night we took our first "big" out of town trip. It was only 55 miles round trip but that was the farthest I've ridden before! We rode out to my favorite place around here -- Salamonie State Forest. It is beautiful out there and there are so many fun roads to ride on. There are a lot of curves and twists and turns.
I also rode on a 4-lane highway by myself for the first time! Whew! It was FUN! I went 65 MPH for the first time in my life on a motorcycle, too. It was great. I said, "Can you see me flying, Jesus? Did you ever think I would fly?" And I could almost hear him saying, "Of course! I knew you could do it!" You see, I really believe that Jesus loves Biker Chicks, too. (I felt like that little dinosaur on LAND BEFORE TIME who said, "I flied! I flied!" when I got home. There's really nothing like it!)

Here is my riding buddy and fun-loving husband of 23+ years on his Harley. He's so cute.
Here I am on my very own motorcycle wearing my husband's denim shirt and an old helmet. The sticker reads, "Hairdo by Helmet." I am NOT a natural beauty -- my hair sticks out all over the place when I take that hot helmet off! So much for Farrah Fawcett locks spilling out when I remove it!

My goal is to get a pink riding jacket (with armor for protection) and a pink helmet. I want people to know I'm a GIRL when I ride by! (Okay, okay, a GRANNY at the very le
ast!) Here is the lake. I love this lake. I love camping here and fishing here. It's so pretty in the fall. I will be coming back for more pictures at that time.
Here's another pretty picture of the lake from on top of the dam. I am so blessed to have such a pretty area to ride in!

I think my kids are proud of Mom that she actually learned how to ride a motorcycle this summer. I think it taught them that no matter how old you are, you can always learn something new. And as a homeschool Mom, I truly desire for my children to be life-long learners. Hopefully they have seen that in Mom -- no matter how crazy the thing they want to learn about might be!
