Another Trip
My 15 year old is away for two weeks. My twins, age 11, were at friends today, so I got to take another trip on my motorcycle! This has been a new experience for me. I usually don't have this much time to myself! Tomorrow, if the weather is good, my husband wants us to ride our motorcycles out of town to a lakeside restaurant for lunch. Doesn't that sound like fun?I love riding in Indiana. The roads are fairly empty, and it is just so GREEN right now! The corn is tall. I know we are blessed because a lot of the country is in drought. Here is a meadow that caught my eye:
I didn't realize until later that it was a wildlife habitat:
In this picture I was trying to take a picture of a hawk. See him on the second telephone pole? But when I got home, I realized this was also a pretty picture of an Indiana road nestled between two soybean fields:
Another soybean field, with a long Indiana road in my mirror. Look far, far into the picture to see how the field goes on forever!
I liked the way the bull in this picture wouldn't quit looking at me. I didn't realize his friend on the left of the picture was pointing. . .
Here is my favorite picture of all that I took of cornfields. The corn is so tall this summer. I don't remember it being this tall in the past seven years. I love this farm, too. Just look at that carefully manicured and beautiful lawn! Talk about curb appeal! This farm is in the middle of nowhere and probably only a handful of people ever see it on a daily basis. I think it says a lot about this farmer's character, don't you?

My hubby loves this trip of yours, he is a farmer at heart and wants to own the last farm and herd of cows you showed. Indiana is beautiful and similar to MN farmland in areas. Have a safe ride and lots of fun with your hubby tommarow.

Your pictures are beautiful. We're in Southwest Missouri, in the drought and it is beautiful but brown right now.
Nice bike. You're crushing my telling my husband he just can't get one. You make it sound so fun!!

What lovely pictures! We live in a country area, but not as much as that. I do love the space & farms, although they are disappearing. Hopefully they won't go too fast. Sounds like you're having a blast on your bike!
